OTI:notes:7/24/18

Open To Interpretation

Notes:...Angels could of, should of, would of, won, but it came down to the bottom of the 9th with two on, Trout had just worked the count for his fourth walk...he had four walks and a sac fly...so no at bats!...bottom of the ninth with two on and Upton is at the plate jawing with the umpire on a called third strike...so, Angels strand a bunch all night, and didn't win...White Sox 5 Angels 3...went to Target to buy some Bermuda shorts and thin thin material T-shirts...broiled last night in long pants long sleeves, even when the sun went down up in my perch...508 last night...ticket sales for the games are a mystery...I had asked for 511, then 510, and on to row P in 508, which put me one row down from the roof!...and after the game, I looked about, and plenty of seats in 511, and the others, and all around the stadium...I'd say maybe 19,000 in attendance...but official attendance was 35,000 like...I dunno...do the online ticket companies buy up blocks on speculation?...this thought from when I tried to get Dodger series tickets...cheapest a week or so before was 56 dollars...this I imagine for tickets that normally go for like eight dollars...I shook my head, and said I'd pass, and ticket seller at the stadium said try 'stub hub'...hmmph...anyway, mid morning at Target, I was by the ice cream freezer...a whole bank of them...and they were all empty...like they were raided by frenzied folk trying to escape the heat wave!...in Angels' defense, the homeplate umpire was awful calling balls and strikes, and they, again, kept hitting at'm balls...hard hit balls that get caught...Ohtani hit one to the top of the left field fence...caught...then he hit one 440 feet plus over center field...a home run...batting behind Pujols in the sixth spot, he seldom comes up with runners on...leastwise with Trout on...once or twice he batted behind Trout all season...so, I dunno...like the big salary players have to have their spots in the lineup maybe, otherwise there is grumbling...Fletcher, ninth, had three hits, two of them doubles...Calhoun, leading off, waped a double to bring in Fletcher, but then proceeded to strike out three times...his last strike out he walked back to the dug out like walking in a funeral...body language tells a lot...I dunno...see what the line up looks like tonight...to their credit, the White Sox used like six relievers in one inning to shield their lead...they brought in a lefty for Ohtani, and he promptly struck out...this in seventh...he can look silly at the plate...backing away from pitches...doing a pirouette like in that strike out...dusting the plate off!...but then he golfs out home runs like no one else...he has nine now, but with the DL time, and missed games preparing for pitching, and just plain being sat down when lefties are pitching, he doesn't have nearly the at bats he could have...if a national league team had signed him, they would have had to make him a position player...NL with no DH...and that would have been all to the good...he has everything Trout has...a good eye, hitting strength, running speed, competiveness, and there he languishes on the bench often...he pitches fine too, and maybe that's his hope, his preference, but already his arm tendon is iffy...Richards' was iffy...where's Richards?...Ohtani would show up with shoetime everyday just like Trout with trouttime...a back to back marvel...meanwhile Pujols is so lame he couldn't leg out an easy double...don't want to fat shame Calhoun, but he's gotten round, and was slow to recover a ball in the right field corner resulting in a triple....does no good to perform at the plate, then give things right back on defense...oh, so, see tonight how things go...where was I...following on from yesterday!...this post sixtyseventh in a series...see previous...that triangle within a triangle on the step fret stirrup vessel...pic from yesterday...

it's actually a triangle within a triangle within a triangle...thought is it could represent gnomic growth like the Egyptian throne...oh...here, I found one from the Mysterions...and it is a mystery!...

the Egyptians are obvious in their geometric leanings...and they likely had mystical meanings every bit as fantastic as the Mysterions perceive...I dunno...note the pillar/pole...note the network...networking is a motif I find in the Andeans' artistries...note the lotus flower...the Egyptian throne looks like something the secretive Pythagorians would have made...I don't know if the Andeans had their equivelant of Pythagoras ...the Egytian equivalents were the architects of everything, from the Pyramids to the shoes they wore...that bit in the caption, see yesterday, about the step fret's 'hypotenuse ' on the other jar, 'rings'...somethings just ring like a telephone far away...'is that my phone?'...'is that my dog barking?'...doubt persists until one gets up and looks, or answers!...so, search 'hypotenuse  sacred geometry'...brb...

In geometry, a hypotenuse (rarely: hypothenuse[1]) is the longest side of a right-angled triangle, the side opposite of the right angle. The length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle can be found using the Pythagorean theorem, which states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides.

The Pythagorean theorem has attracted interest outside mathematics as a symbol of mathematical abstruseness, mystique, or intellectual power; popular references in literature, plays, musicals, songs, stamps and cartoons abound.
... ... ...
There is debate whether the Pythagorean theorem was discovered once, or many times in many places, and the date of first discovery is uncertain, as is the date of the first proof.

well, the Incas with their quipos were very good at the mathematics accountants use...in court disputes they would present evidence from quipos' records to rival the Spanish opponents with their ledger books...and if the mystery quipos tell stories, are a lore, and this like the tocapus, then, then, I'd say, all those geometric designs in the tocapu tunics, and on pottery, in painting, in the very shapes of vessels, like above, suggest the Andeans understood the mathematics of geometry...this might be a no brainer!...Andeans had pyramids, Egyptians had pyramids, Asians had pyramids...thing about the New World pyramids, they were actively used temples, as well as tombs...and one would be built on top of another on top of another to some ritual cycle linked to the calendar...it's a bit much!...for me...:)...but search 'Pythagorean theorem Incas' doesn't bring up much...right search words might...try: "Pythagorean theorem tocapus peru"...oh, that one brought up something, but it is a problem...google's images will lift images out of a pdf document, and I can copy/paste them from the images page...most often I 'visit' the site, and copy/paste from there...which is best courtesy...citing where I got image...but this one is so curious, I post it, and can't really read it...the 'visit' click on prompt takes one to the pdf file...very slow to open...for sometime!...meanwhile, the geometries of the Andeans has been considered...but not very much...Mysterions kind of slack, on this, I'd say!...usually I can always find stuff from them before I have to drill down deeper to the scholars' things...

anyway, anyway the reach today in this beat the heat post while waiting to go to the stadium, is that I found that triangle all over the place in the Moche drawings, and pottery/figurines...sometimes it is depicted so tiny as one wonders why the artist bothered...this is reflective of how meticulous and consistent the Andean artists were!...the little triangle meant something...it associates with the step fret...like it gives the step fret three elements...the steps, the curl, and the triangle...even with out the little triangle, often a triangle within a triangle, the gnomic expression?, just the usual step fret, and the step throne/inca warrior tunic, has the 'triangle'...have to sort of consider the 'negative space' sometimes...which the Andeans did!...they made up imaginary creatures in the night sky by not just connecting stars, like in the Old World, but by seeing shapes in the empty dark areas...for sometime that!...I was trying out the thought that the step fret might represent a plant!...searching with that pre-supposition...one always needs some sort of pre-supposition, no matter how goofy, or wrong headed!...anyway, let me do that search again, and maybe quick in time remaining I can find a few...well, wait...there were some in the lima bean deer warrior drawing, where I first noticed them...these triangles...

hoping one can magnify this to see closer...

  • this is pic posted yesterday...looking closely at the right shield, the step throne one...there are little triangles!...triangle within triangle...and on the Deer warriors' sleeves, there are squares divided into two triangles, and triangles within those triangles...I leave off this here, as if I grab images in a hurry, I'll make a mess of things!...but these little triangles are all over the place...and often with the step fret...and the step throne...I dunno...do some searches with the pre-supposition: "Evidence that Pythagorian secret societies made it to the New World as shown in depictions of the "Pythagorian Theorem" in textiles, pottery paintings, pottery figurines, murals, architecture."...scholars have long poking into things noses easy to tweak!...lol...anyway, I'll gather things...more tomorrowmorrow...(spelling check and edit when I get back) White Sox 4 Angels 2...bookend to last night's game...leaving parking lot saw Raccoon running about...herded Raccoon back to the Cement River!
