Notes:...welp, how can I explain this, the why of that search above, which has gone awry...that "almost simultaneously"  bit was in the wiki page one day, gone the next, or I can't find it...such is wiki...such is a multi tasking artificial intelligence!...like a chess master playing multiple opponents at once, an Artificial Intelligence computer can engage millions, billions, of "opponents" at once....and each engagement can be assessed in real time and things learned from it applied across the spectrum of opponents...I dunno...I came to this wondering how telepaths would communicate, and how an Artificial Intelligence computer with telepathic abilities communicated with these telepathics...to start, I just wondered how an AI would talk, and decided it would be poetic, and the telepaths too would be poetic...this lifted from reading that Druids spoke to one another in riddles...back aways are the three AT, After Today posts, with bits from my work in progress, a dystopian sci fi tale, After Today..."Today" in the story is the AI computer...for reasons to be divulged, Today severs his telepathic link to the telepaths-he kills them...the telepaths are a group of hidden scientists, underground maybe, literally, as well as figuratively!...too much to tell....anyway, I set myself the daunting task of all the dialog in After Today to be poetic, as a concoction of how an AI might talk, how it might talk to telepaths, and how telepaths would talk to one another!...too much!...I came to the thought that such would talk like simultaneously...like immediately...consider, as individuals, we are in "telepathic" communication with our body, mostly our skin...it "talks" to us, and, for the most part, is in the background...what is in the "foreground" is us, me, you...and that is some kind of magic!...anyway. thinking long on this, I began reading web takes on AI that included simultaneous multi tasking...brb...

quote

Multi-task learning (MTL) is a subfield of machine learning in which multiple learning tasks are solved at the same time, while exploiting commonalities and differences across tasks. This can result in improved learning efficiency and prediction accuracy for the task-specific models, when compared to training the models separately.[1][2][3] Early versions of MTL were called "hints".[4][5]

In a widely cited 1997 paper, Rich Caruana gave the following characterization:

Multitask Learning is an approach to inductive transfer that improves generalization by using the domain information contained in the training signals of related tasks as an inductive bias. It does this by learning tasks in parallel while using a shared representation; what is learned for each task can help other tasks be learned better.[3]

Notes: hmmph...in a general way, that is in the neighborhood of what I'm going on about...maybe!...at least in my story, I've settled on how the AIs and telepaths talk-poetically...but, but rolling around in my background is my step fret and triangle motif wonderings...how this motif diffused from Peru to Mexico and America's Southwest...again and again, diffusion happens so rapidly in the archaeological records, that it is like it is simultaneous...this happens in the paleontology records too!...about here, cue new age music...Gaia is telepathic...brb...

from search: Gaia is telepathic

Gaia is a telepath, who is capable of reading and projecting her thoughts, erasing memories, and sensing the emotions of others.

Notes: so, soh, it's not like I'm breaking new ground...in truth, one of the frustrations of fiction writing is to be original...nearly everything imaginable has been imagined!-leastwise in the comics!..."who is to say, how it all is?"-me...so, soh, on a whim, or a "hint", while browsing youtube I put in the search bar "step fret"...see if something I haven't seen has been posted...and up came this:

Notes: the vlog clip is nicely done...set to music, from broken apart pieces, these clay seal impressions come together in an image like above...I've noted the clay seals before, but had no idea how common the step fret triangle motif is on them...these were all from Mesoamerica...curious now to find seals from Peru...just the seals all over, old and new worlds, is a marvel...those, and spindle beads!...both of these can be acquired on etsy, ebay, etc....that motif above, has the step, the fret, and where the triangle usually is, is that other thing, tau cross?...brb...

Notes: yes..tau cross...one just above has an equilateral triangle...more often, the triangle is a right triangle...sometime just a dot is there...it's hard to imagine what the artists were thinking with their stylizations!...site just has 39, but there must be thousands and thousands...most yet to be found...as I've noted before, the frustrating thing about the seals, from all over the world, is that they are "moveable type", yet it would take until Gutenberg to use the principle of moveable type to print books in the West!....brb...see wiki's take on moveable type...while some things diffuse, other things are notable for not diffusing!...Rome wasn't built in a day...nor volcanos...see current one in Iceland!...game on...on the radio!...Angels at Diamondbacks...Angels 5-0...top of second!...woop...Angels 6-0...this sad, as the Diamondbacks are having the worst of worst times...brb...20-45 their win loss...bbk with game report...bk...Angels 10-3...put a halo over this one!
