Notes:  Game on...on the radio...Ohtani up...bottom of third...Mariners at Angels...Mariners 0-Angels 3...single...I kick my self for watching tik toks, reels, youtube stores, but amongst the general run, I have favorites...Trout with a single...Trout was 0 for 14!....aaand a reel was about Bismuth Crystal...for f#&k Sake, as one of my favorites might put it...Thais with a double...Mariners 0-Angels 5...the Bismuth Crystals are Step Frets!...Renfroe with a double, too!...Mariners 0-Angels 6...now, many moons ago, a story is my using billiard balls to sound the depths of the Mystery of the Great Pyramid, the book by Tompkins I was reading...idea was the balls were like atoms, and how I could arrange them, would indicate crystal shapes-one of the shapes of Gold mineral crystals is a four sided pyramid...the Egyptians were self similaritists! and scaled up the crystal form to gigantic size, my thought...odd thing about Nature..that does happen-spirals at all scales, Mandelbrot's fractals...did the pre-Columbian Americans know the Milky Way is a spiral?...or just a lucky guess that the step fret triangle is self similar, to all the Nature spirals...Greeks the same with their Greek Key...Asia with the meander...Mariners 2-Angels 6...Angels up...runners first and second...error and hit batter...Ohtani up!...pitching change, bottom of fourth...single...Trout up, bases loaded...caught at the wall...sac fly rbi...Mariner 2-Angels 7...top of fifth...Mariners get a run...top of fifth...Mariner 3-Angels 7...sooo, it came to mind to make a leather belt decorated with step fret triangles...studied leather making...imagined making belts with my favorite motifs...this a month or so back...aaaand, anyway, anywa89y, yesterday, I went early to the Orange Coast College Swap Meet...I've been getting up early early, trying to get some chores and adventures in, before I fall back asleep!...sleepiness-the strange travail of aging!...and my "pattern acuity" kicked in, and I spotted the belt..."pattern acuity" a term I gathered in from a herpetologist, snake hunter, in comments bragging about his acuity for finding rattle snakes...this at youtube Nick and Adrian at the rock pile rattlesnake den....Mariner with bases loaded...Ward saving catch in the outfield...Rattle Snakes another "spiral"...and "steps"-the rattles!...the ancients knew of Bismuth...one of ten metals...found, an Inca knife with bronze handle made of copper tempered with Bismuth and Tin...binary searches with Bismuth turning up stuff!...metallurgy of the ancients much studied...too, the crystals look like Mayan pyramids-stepped, and that nested square look of the Olmec/Mayan Quatrefoil-a reach!...Ward saves the inning!...one run scores...Mariners 4-Angels 7...Neto lead off runner, on error...Ward up...W...Ohtani up...K...c'mon Trout...pitching change...Angles gonna need all the runs they can get!...W...Drury up...line out...hmmph...one more out...Thaiss up...ground out...to top of seventh...the rainbow spiral is a novelty from a garage sale...the dots are actually little sticks-atop something they take the something's shape...there's a carpenters tool with sticks like this, used to make patterns of irregular surfaces...brb..."contour gauge"!...something like that would be useful in making polygon walls like the Inca's...Angels get thru the inning...to bottom of seventh...bbk with game report...readsaid, in the Pyramid book I think, the Egyptians would level for a foundation by flooding the area with water, and use a stick, or sticks, to match the bottom of the pond with the water level surface...Mariners 4 -Angels 9...Put a halo over this one!
