Notes: returning this afternoon from a game I umped, I was in traffic, waiting for a light, and hear the "ooomp ooompa" of a Mariachi Band...it was a gathered band jammed up against a convenience store's back wall in front of parked cars in a little parking lot, jamming!...got a reference pic...for sometime...MKYD's in the morning, #7, coffee, Wendy's kid's cheeseburger combo before the game...I didn't eat enough, and so felt woozy during game....listened to Angels at Texas on return...Ohtani had another shaky start, gave up 2 walks, 3hits, four runs in the first inning...but in the top of the second, Angels got those all back!...and then some...and Ohtani settled down to strike out like seven, nine total, and give up one hit after the first...his first win since 2018 season...and he was his old self on the mound, pre tommy john surgery that took more than a year to heal...too, he had a single, and double, and a walk?...brb...3 3 2 1 2...he helped himself scoring, and knocking in two...everyone on the team contributed...Texas a lowly team, but still...put a halo over this one!...Angels 9-4...Starbucks blueberry scone and grande mocha...Mookie Betts got out of his slump...brb...Ohtani's single was a bunt that led off the fifth, and Trout rolled him around home...Trout, back from the elbow bump, was like four for five...what?...Reds at Dodgers still going, tied up...gotta get the radio!...game on!...on the radio...extra innings....Reds have just hit a two run home run...Reds 5-3...a lead off home run...what happens now in extra innings, each team puts the batter who made the last out in previous inning on second!...in scoring position...they did this in the short last year season...it's goofy...when the Dodger's come up, they'll have a runner on second too...intent is to shorten games...the playoff games wont have this feature...Dodgers just lost such a game to the Padres...bbk with report...
