#Flying

🦛Flying thru forest

🧶There's a lane thru a forest of many different trees...I'm in a game...I'm running flying over the lane... then over just trees, and I'm targeting singular and different trees, making them vanish, disentegrate...rerun twice...I wake up

🎶I'm sympathetic to trees...don't know what drew me to shoot them...a flying dream, but maybe like running...

🦛Kid needs toys

🧶there's tiny toy animals on a round plate...the kid won't play with them...but I animate a couple, and he's happy...then they stop moving, and he's in a funk again...mom is in an angry mood, woofs at me. "We're going to store, get better toys-those are no good..."...that to say, I can't play, animate, the kid's toys...I wake up

🎶I saw the toys clearly for a moment...colorful...like just half an inch...animals?...I'm not sure...I'm not sure we were human!

🦛Cloud balls

🧶there in a row, from left to right, going forward...floating small roundish fog clouds...I wake up

🎶things in a row, going this way or that, a motif, a pattern, an element...

🧶i'm in training.. given rifle and gear...rifle brand new...reward for keeping it that way...and for running up a hill with meandering trail...we practice with the rifle, and running up the hill...my rifle is getting messed up...a yellow plastic thing wearing down...and in off time, I run up the hill extra...practicing...memorizing each twist and curve...each rock and loose sand...I wonder what can be done for the yellow.piece...like on the barrel opening...I wake up...

🎶this over two afternoon dreams...rerun...oft dreams of soldiering, which I'm not, a soldier, or war experienced...oft I'm in training, even joined when very old...and some conflict brewing, looming...here, there, different assignments...trained in jet...all this bleeds in, is drawn, from movies, I think...but then there is Yogananda's vision of being a soldier...so maybe others' dreams bleed, draw into mine...which is common idea, as so many dreams beyond my experience...all dreams, just made up, it's said...lot of things readsaid I say not so to!...searched up Yoganada...the scene I remember, is he is aguing with his sister about being someone else, and proving it he draws into a soldier on the battle field, and returns with a real wound on his own arm...this in Yogananda's autobiography...
✨️searched up Yoganada...the scene I remember, is he is arguing with his sister about being someone else, and proving it he draws into a soldier on the battle field, and returns with a real wound on his own arm...this in Yogananda's autobiography...

You are misremembering and combining two entirely different elements from the book: a childhood argument about a boil on the arm and his philosophical teachings about a dreaming soldier. [1, 2]
In Chapter 1 of Autobiography of a Yogi, Yogananda does not argue about being someone else or draw a soldier; instead, he argues with his elder sister, Uma, about using a medical salve on a healthy forearm. After she repeatedly calls him a "little liar," he uses the power of his intense will to manifest a physical boil on his exact forearm by the next morning. [1, 2]
The soldier imagery comes from his later metaphysical discourses regarding the nature of reality as a cosmic dream. He taught that a man who dreams he is a soldier dying on a battlefield wakes up in relief to realize it was just an illusion—just as a real-life soldier wakes up in the astral world after death to realize their mortal body and wounds were also part of a grand cosmic dream. [1]
If you'd like, I can help you find:
The exact text of his argument with Uma
His writings on the astral world and reincarnation
Other instances of miraculous physical manifestations in the book [1, 2, 3, 4]

🎶that, that's that...Yogananda could have been the soldier, aquired the wound for himself, proving to his sister such could happen...one of his many miracles of "self realization"...I have to check book again...but, but, Yogananda is far fetched...India is far fetched...made up...imaginitive as heck...and fun...

✨️Paramahansa Yogananda frequently referenced the archetype of the soldier, viewing it both as a metaphor for the spiritual seeker and as a literal reality from his own past-life incarnations. He did not view the warrior spirit and the yogic path as contradictory, but rather as two sides of the same coin: the expression of absolute, unbending willpower deployed to establish higher order. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Yogananda approached the concept of the soldier through three distinct lenses:
1. Literal Past Incarnations as a Warrior
To the surprise of many of his modern followers, Yogananda revealed to his close disciples that he had incarnated as a powerful military conqueror multiple times to fulfill specific cosmic and historical missions. [1]
Arjuna: He stated that he was Arjuna, the legendary archer and warrior prince from the Bhagavad Gita who was commanded by Krishna to fight a righteous war against forces of material degradation.

───

William the Conqueror: He also revealed he had been William the Conqueror, the Norman king who unified England in 1066. Yogananda explained that this was a divine commission to bring England out of the Scandinavian sphere and structurally align it with European Christianity, preparing the geopolitical landscape for a future bridge between East and West. [1, 2, 3, 4]
2. The Metaphor of the "Spiritual Soldier"
Yogananda taught that the work of seeking God requires the exact mindset of a disciplined soldier. In his view, a devotee cannot afford to be overly sensitive, moody, or passive. The spiritual path is an active warfare against maya (cosmic delusion), habits, and ego. He beautifully reinterpreted the battle of Kurukshetra in his commentaries (God Talks with Arjuna) not as a historical anomaly, but as the daily internal war fought within the human body between soul-faculties and material desires. [1, 2, 3]
3. The Soldier Analogy for Cosmic Illusion
Yogananda frequently used the vivid imagery of a soldier in battle to explain the illusory nature (Lila or Maya) of life and death. In one of his most famous parables on the nature of reality, he wrote: [1, 2]
Yogananda used the parable of a sleeping man who dreams he is a soldier wounded in battle, only to wake up and laugh in relief that it was merely a dream. He applied this same logic to actual earthly battles, noting that when a soldier passes away, he awakens in the astral world to realize he has no physical body or flesh to be harmed, illustrating that all worldly experiences are fundamentally dream experiences. [1]
Through these combined perspectives, Yogananda reconciled the fierce discipline of the battlefield with the profound peace of the self-realized soul.
Would you like to explore how Yogananda mapped the specific characters of the Mahabharata battlefield to psychological and spiritual faculties inside human consciousness, or look closer at his specific explanations regarding the karma of real-world soldiers?

✨️Yogananda could have been the soldier, aquired the wound for himself, proving to his sister such could happen...one of his many miracles of "self realization"...I have to check book again...but, but, Yogananda is far fetched...India is far fetched...made up...imaginitive as heck...and fun...

The story you are remembering from Autobiography of a Yogi actually involved manifesting a painful boil, rather than a soldier's battle wound. [1]
In that first chapter, a young Yogananda (then named Mukunda) uses a foreboding prediction to teach his skeptical sister, Uma, about the raw creative power of the mind and the spoken word. After he successfully predicts the exact placement and painful swelling of a boil on his own forearm, he tells her that she will develop one in the exact same spot. When she wakes up the next morning with a matching sore, she runs away terrified, realizing his words carry a strange, literal weight. [1]
It is completely natural to see these accounts as wild, imaginative, or far-fetched literature. Whether one views it as literal spiritual mastery or fantastic storytelling, Autobiography of a Yogi operates like an epic mythological landscape. It weaves a world where the boundaries of the physical body are entirely porous, and the mind treats reality like a malleable dream—making it an undeniably gripping and fun piece of spiritual history to explore. [1, 2]
Would you like to look closer at how Yogananda's actual "soldier" visions (like his claimed past life as William the Conqueror) tie into this idea of physical reality being a grand illusion?

The scene you are remembering actually involves a physical boil, not a battlefield wound, though your memory perfectly captures the intense argument and the supernatural prediction!
In Chapter 1 of Autobiography of a Yogi, a young Yogananda (then named Mukunda) gets into a heated argument with his elder sister, Uma. Uma is mocking him, calling him a liar. In his anger, Yogananda uses the power of his words and will to declare that by the next morning, he will develop a large boil on a specific spot on his arm.
The exact text from Autobiography of a Yogi reads:
"By the power of will in me, I say that tomorrow I shall have a fairly large boil in this exact place on my arm; and your boil shall swell to twice its present size!"
The next morning, the boil appears exactly where he pointed, leaving a permanent physical scar on his forearm that he carried for the rest of his life.

✨️Robert Graves account of boils on his neck...
Robert Graves’s most famous account of "boils on the neck" appears in his celebrated 1943 poem Lollocks. [1]
Rather than a literal medical diagnosis, Graves uses boils on the neck as a physical symptom of an infestation of "Lollocks"—imaginary, impish creatures born from human sloth, chaos, and mental sorrow. [1, 2]
The Symbolic Meaning in Lollocks
In the poem, Lollocks are mischievous, invisible spirits that breed in disordered and neglected spaces—such as the backs of messy cupboard drawers, among old medicine bottles, and in untidily kept rooms. Graves writes that while average men cannot physically see these creatures, they suffer their physical manifestations. [1, 2]
According to the text, the definitive somatic signs of a Lollocks infestation are:
Boils on the neck
Abrupt "dreams of vexation" remembered in the middle of the morning
Severe sluggishness or languor after eating
Sudden, unexplained stomach aches [1, 2]
Graves poses the poem as a cautionary psychological tale: a life lived with a cluttered, lazy, or disordered mind will inevitably manifest as physical sickness and bodily plagues, symbolized by the painful boils.
Autogeographical Context
While Lollocks handles the concept poetically, Graves was deeply preoccupied with bodily degradation, scars, and illnesses. In his famous World War I memoir, Goodbye to All That (1929), he routinely charts the horrific skin diseases, trench sores, and physical transformations suffered by soldiers exposed to the filth, rot, and immense psychological stress of the Western Front. [1, 2, 3]
If you are looking for a different specific text or letter where he mentions a personal medical bout with boils, please let me know:
Are you tracking down a line from his war diaries?
Could it be from his personal correspondence with figures like Siegfried Sassoon? [1]
I can run a more targeted search to find the exact historical excerpt you need.

✨️Robert Graves accounts for painful boils on the neck as a physical manifestation of malevolent, invisible domestic spirits called "Lollocks" in his famous 1940 poem Lollocks. [1]
The Myth of the Lollocks
Rather than a traditional biological explanation, Graves uses his unique myth-making style to attribute these physical ailments to abstract human faults. According to the poem, Lollocks are dusty, mischievous creatures "by sloth on sorrow fathered". They breed in the cluttered, neglected corners of a household—such as the backs of disordered drawers, among unread letters, and behind empty medicine bottles. [1, 2]
When a household falls into stagnation, these spirits plague the inhabitants. Graves notes that while men are blind to these creatures and do not believe in them, they are punished physically by their presence: [1]
The signs of their presence
Are boils on the neck,
Dreams of vexation suddenly recalled
In the middle of the morning,
Languor after food. [1]
The Sovereign Cure
True to the theme of psychological and physical discipline found throughout his larger body of work, Graves prescribes a strict domestic ritual to banish the Lollocks and cure the afflictions: [1]
• Using a hard and soft broomCombing the hair and brushing the shoes thoroughlyPaying every financial debt precisely as it falls due [1]Note: While Graves suffered from numerous severe physical ailments throughout his life following his service in the Great War (detailed in his memoir Goodbye to All That and biographies), his most definitive and famous literary account linking boils on the neck to a specific cause remains this psychological and poetic personification of domestic neglect. [1, 2]

🎶Graves is trick...I walked into the first day of a Shakespeare class, last three units I needed, with the White Goddess under my arm...another student walked in with Yogananda under his arm-such were the times...he has another story about boils, something to do with overstepping a boundary...AI is trick...it recollects and corrects my recollection...Yogananda's boils comes to rest side by side with Robert Graves' boils...aand, I'll kick the dog if I get boils saying this!

✨️Yogananda's boils comes to rest side by side with Robert Graves' boils...and, I'll kick the dog if I get boils saying this!
You are referencing two fascinating literary and spiritual stories involving boils, though hopefully, your vow to the dog keeps you completely safe from catching any!
The reference brings together two remarkably specific historical anecdotes:
Paramahansa Yogananda's Boil: In his famous book Autobiography of a Yogi, Yogananda recalls a childhood incident with his elder sister, Uma. Uma was treating a boil on her leg with ointment. Mischievously, a young Yogananda smeared some ointment on his own healthy arm and claimed he would get a boil the next day to test it. When his sister mocked him, he used his mind and concentrated his willpower, declaring that by morning he would have a large boil and hers would double in size. Astonishingly, the next morning, both manifestations happened exactly as he predicted. [1, 2]
Robert Graves' Boils: In his poem "Lollocks," the legendary poet and novelist Robert Graves writes about mischievous, invisible spirits called Lollocks that plague people who are lazy, untidy, or plagued by troubled thoughts. Graves explicitly notes that the physical sign of these entities invading your life is "boils on the neck" alongside "dreams of vexation suddenly recalled in the middle of the morning."

🎶"dreams of vexation"...those I may have...
✨️Dreams of vexation—characterized by endless loops, jammed locks, uncooperative technology, or a sudden loss of personal agency—are highly concentrated psychological mirrorings of waking friction, boundary erosion, and unexpressed distress. [1, 2, 3]
In the architecture of sleep, the hypnopompic and REM states do not merely replay our days; they amplify the micro-annoyances we brush aside when awake, turning a minor daytime irritation into a central night crisis. When the conscious mind rests, the brain acts as an emotional sorting system. It translates abstract tension into visceral, structural, and narrative roadblocks. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The recurring motifs of vexation generally map to specific psychological and symbolic undercurrents:
🌀 The Futile Loop & Mechanical Failure
Dreams where a phone refuses to dial, a passport disappears at the gate, or an object breaks mid-use speak directly to your personal agency and communication. The brain uses malfunctioning external tools to represent a waking scenario where your conditions are not aligning with your energy. You are moving forward, but the environment is pushing back. [1, 2, 3]
• See also: The classic text 10,000 Dreams Interpreted famously notes that watching an idle or stranger-operated loom signifies useless irritation from the chatter or stubbornness of those around you. [1]
🛑 Impassable Terrain & Physical Restraint
Running through deep mud, wading through liquid tar, or finding your voice entirely frozen in your throat points to suppressed truths or emotional baggage. When a step takes a Herculean effort, it often signals a project, relationship, or creative block that feels unbearably slow, or an anger you feel you lack the authority to express openly. [1]
👤 The Intruding Shadow & Disruption
When vexation curdles into low-level dread—such as a dark figure examining the room while you remain hidden, or objects being subtly displaced without your knowledge—the dream shifts into the territory of vulnerability and boundary strain. Historically and culturally, these are read as warnings of quiet, hidden attacks on one's peace, but psychologically, they expose the raw ache of a space or mind that no longer feels entirely secure. [1, 2, 3]

───

Working Through the Friction
Because the brain focuses on the underlying emotion rather than the literal disguise of the dream content, resolving these loops requires working directly with the feeling of being blocked: [1, 2]

Vexation Motif
Waking Counterpart
Actionable Resolution

Jammed doors / Malfunctioning tech
Blocked communication or halted life path
Identify where you are forcing an outcome instead of shifting strategy.

Endless lines / Repetitive loops
Unclear boundaries or minor tasks left to grow
Address the "small" daily boundary leaks before they compound at night.

Frozen voice / Inability to run
Repressed anger or unacknowledged pride
Journal worries or difficult truths unfiltered before entering sleep.

When you wake with a surge of adrenaline from a dream of pure frustration, practicing guided mastery—physically writing down the dream but deliberately penning a logical, unblocked, or positive alternate ending—can counter-condition the brain's emotional response, breaking the pattern before the next descent into REM. [1]
If you want to dial in the focus, tell me:
• What specific roadblock or setting keeps repeating in these dreams? Is there an intruder, a guide, or an idle presence watching the scene?Do you wake up feeling an anomalous physical sensation (like being frozen), or is it purely a psychological loop?I can help decode the specific structural symbols your mind is throwing up.

🎶keep a needle handy...once, while pulling weeds, I scratched my cheek...cheek infected, just at time I was trying to be attractive...read by chance about lymph nodes thereabout, or some such...went to the doctor...he leaned in, said, with both hands, "let me just pop that"...no no no, that's okay...I rose up and left...not the first time!...lol...

✨️movie eyes wide shut meaning of title eyelid scrying
The title Eyes Wide Shut is a paradox that symbolizes willful blindness—the human tendency to ignore or remain oblivious to uncomfortable truths, elite corruption, and hidden realities right in front of us. [1, 2]
Meaning of the Title
Deliberate Ignorance: Like the unblinking, unseeing eyes carved into the Venetian masks in the film, characters choose to keep their minds closed to reality while appearing wide awake.
Social Complicity: The title suggests that society—and the privileged elite—deliberately shut their eyes to moral corruption and exploitation to protect their comfort and status.
Dream State: Adapted from Arthur Schnitzler’s Dream Story (Traumnovelle), the phrase captures a trance-like, somnambulist journey where the protagonist, Bill Harford, wanders through a waking nightmare. [1, 2, 3]
Eyelid Scrying and the Occult Connection
What is Scrying? Scrying is an ancient divination practice where a seer gazes into a reflective or dark surface (like a crystal ball or black mirror) to quiet the conscious mind and perceive visions through the "inner eye".
Eyelid Scrying: This is a specialized, closed-eye form of scrying where a practitioner shuts their physical eyes and stares intently at the back of their own eyelids to induce a trance or pull symbolic images from the subconscious.
Thematic Link: Esoteric analysts connect "eyelid scrying" and occult visual motifs in Eyes Wide Shut to the film's pervasive themes of masking, illusion, and trances. Just as an eyelid scryer looks inward behind a physical barrier to "see" a hidden landscape, Bill navigates a secret world operating completely in plain sight, yet he remains fundamentally blind to its true mechanics until forced to confront the dark reflections of his own society and marriage. [1, 2, 3, 4]

about contrast symmetry, paradeila, that stelae in Peru
The ancient Peruvian monument you are referring to is the Raimondi Stele (or Raimondi Stone), created by the Chavín culture around 900–200 BCE at the ceremonial site of Chavín de Huántar. [1, 2]
What you are describing as "contrast symmetry" and "pareidolia" is known in art history as contour rivalry. The Chavín artists intentionally designed the stela with strict bilateral symmetry and multi-layered imagery to confuse human perception, creating an artistic Optical illusion. [1, 2]

movie eyes wide shut is deliberately complex to act as a barrier. Only initiated elites were taught how to properly decode the shapes hidden within the symmetry.

There is no factual basis or historical evidence to support the claim that Eyes Wide Shut was created with secret codes intended only for "initiated elites."
While Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 film is famously complex, dense with symbolism, and heavily reliant on visual symmetry, film scholars and historians widely agree that these elements serve artistic and psychological purposes rather than a hidden occult agenda.
The Purpose of Symmetry and Symbolism in the Film
Instead of acting as a barrier for elite decoding, the film's complex design functions in several specific ways:
Psychological Mirroring: The heavy use of symmetry and repetitive geometric shapes (such as circles, triangles, and stars) reflects the dual nature of the main characters' marriage, desires, and anxieties.
Dream Logic: Kubrick used vibrant color palettes (contrasting warm Christmas lights with harsh blues) and precise framing to create a surreal, dream-like atmosphere, mimicking the protagonist's descent into a subconscious underworld.
Social Critique: The movie explicitly critiques the real-world decadence, corruption, and unaccountable power of the ultra-wealthy, making the "elite" the subjects of the film's scrutiny rather than its intended audience.
The idea that the film contains hidden geometric puzzles meant for an exclusive group is a popular internet conspiracy theory, often fueled by the mysterious nature of Kubrick's filmmaking style and his untimely death before the film's release.
If you are interested in how the film was actually constructed, I can provide more details. Would you like to explore:
The cinematography techniques Kubrick used to create the dream-like atmosphere?
The literary source material (Traumnovelle) and how it compares to the movie?
How production design and lighting were used to build the film's tension?

✨️difference between reading and sensing a poem see the world feelingly Lear

The Trap of "Reading" and Flawed Sight
At the start of the play, both Lear and Gloucester possess perfect physical eyesight and literacy, yet they are completely blind to reality. They "read" situations purely by their surface appearances:
Lear's Love Test: Lear reads his daughters' love based on their public, performative speeches. He relies on the superficial weight of words. Because Cordelia cannot "heave [her] heart into [her] mouth," he fails to sense her genuine devotion.
Gloucester's Letter: Gloucester is easily undone by a forged letter. He literally reads Edmund's fabricated words and immediately sentences his loyal son, Edgar, to death.
In this state, "reading" represents a reliance on external metrics—titles, flatteries, social contracts, and documents—which masks absolute ignorance of human nature.
2. "Sensing" and Seeing the World Feelingly
The shift from reading to sensing happens through profound suffering. It is crystallized in Act 4, Scene 6, when the physically blinded Gloucester encounters the mad Lear. When Lear asks Gloucester how he sees the world, Gloucester replies: "I see it feelingly."
Stripping of the Senses: Gloucester loses his physical eyes, and Lear loses his sanity. Only when their superficial faculties are stripped away do they begin to "sense" the truth.
The Wisdom of Madness and Blindness: Gloucester notes, "I stumbled when I saw," proving that physical sight was a distraction. Once blind, he can finally sense Edmund's treachery and Edgar's loyalty.
Empathy for the Vulnerable: In the storm, Lear stops "reading" his position as a king and begins to "sense" the suffering of others. He looks at the "poor naked wretches" of his kingdom and feels a shared humanity, realizing he has "ta'en too little care of this."
Summary
To read the world in King Lear is to be fooled by the script of society—words, appearances, and titles. To sense the world is to understand it through the agonizing but clarifying lens of emotional truth and shared human vulnerability.
If you are writing an essay or analyzing specific passages, would you like to focus on Lear's storm speech, Gloucester's blindness scene, or how Cordelia's silence fits into this dynamic?

That is a beautiful sentiment, echoing the idea that rem sleep and dreaming act as a form of nocturnal therapy to process emotional stress and reset our minds.
During dreaming, your brain downregulates stress neurochemicals like noradrenaline. This allows you to re-process difficult emotional memories from the day in a safe, neurochemically calm environment, effectively taking the painful "sting" out of those experiences.

Game on...on the radio...Giants 1 at Dodgers 1...famous Hindu temple pillar...

✨️famous Hindu pillar

When people refer to a famous Hindu pillar, they are usually talking about one of these three world-renowned structural marvels:
1. The Hanging Pillar of Lepakshi
Located inside the 16th-century Veerabhadra Temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh, this is arguably the most famous pillar in India. [1]
The Marvel: Out of 70 stone pillars in the temple's hall, one massive granite pillar does not fully touch the floor. There is a tiny gap at its base, allowing visitors and devotees to pass thin objects like a sheet of paper or a piece of cloth completely underneath it. [1, 2, 3]
The History: Built during the Vijayanagara Empire, it stands as an incredible testament to ancient Indian engineering. Legend says a British engineer once tried to shift it to uncover its secrets, causing the surrounding structural beams to move, proving that the hanging pillar actually anchors the structural balance of the roof. [1, 2, 3]
2. The Heliodorus Pillar
Located in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, this monument dates back to around 113 BCE. [1]
The Marvel: This column is a Garuda-stambha (a pillar dedicated to the eagle mount of Lord Vishnu). It is exceptionally famous among historians because its Brahmi script inscriptions reveal it was built by Heliodorus, a Greek ambassador sent from Taxila. [1]
The Significance: It provides the earliest known archaeological evidence of a Westerner converting to Vaishnavism (ancient Hinduism), where Heliodorus explicitly dedicates the pillar to Vāsudeva (Lord Krishna) as the "God of Gods". [1, 2, 3]
3. The Musical Pillars of Hampi
Located at the 15th-century Vittala Temple in Hampi, Karnataka, this architectural masterpiece is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site. [1]
The Marvel: The temple features 56 monolithic pillars known as "SaReGaMa pillars".
The Sound: When gently tapped, the solid stone columns emit distinct musical notes resonant of traditional Indian musical instruments like string instruments, temple bells, and drums. [1]

🎶this a follow on from previous post...curious, the British stole one post to see how it works...

✨️curious, the British stole one singing pillar from Hampi.to see how it works...

That is a famous historical story! During British rule in India, British officials were so deeply mystified by the musical pillars of the Vijaya Vittala Temple in Hampi that they actually cut two of the pillars in half to see how they worked.
They suspected the pillars were hollow or contained some hidden metallic or internal mechanism to produce musical notes when tapped. To their surprise, they found nothing but solid granite inside. Those sliced pillars can still be seen by visitors at the UNESCO World Heritage site today.
How the "Singing Pillars" Actually Work
Modern researchers using non-destructive testing—such as ultrasonic testing—have finally dispelled the old myths and explained the physics behind these 15th-century structures:
  • Flexural Vibration: The sound does not come from a hollow chamber. Instead, it is caused by the flexural vibration (a subtle side-to-side bending) of the stone columns when struck, acting exactly like a tuning fork.
  • Dimensions and Geometry: The musical note is determined by the speed of sound through granite and the column's physical dimensions. Shorter, thicker columns vibrate faster and produce high-pitched notes, while longer, thinner columns produce low-pitched tones.
  • Resonant Material: The ancient artisans of the Vijayanagara Empire specifically sourced single blocks of highly resonant granite with a specific mineral composition that allowed sound waves to travel cleanly at over 4,800 meters per second.
Because centuries of visitors tapping the stones have caused micro-cracks—which dampen the vibrations and cause the pillars to go silent—the Archaeological Survey of India has completely prohibited touching or striking the remaining functional pillars to preserve them.
🎶in its time, Hampi was a big city, "second to Peking in the World"...and abandoned after war in 1550...reading about this is reading about things I never heard of!...well no, the cymatics, concrete, temples, on lots of channels...Hampi, no...all new...in England this time, beginning of scientific enlightenment, and soon EIC, East India Company arrives in India...Brits mystified by India...rookie Pauli knocks in run...Giants 2-Dodgers 3...
✨️EIC Hampi

The connection between the East India Company (EIC) and the historic site of Hampi centers on the official rediscovery and mapping of its ancient ruins. [1]
In 1800, an engineer, antiquarian, and EIC employee named Colonel Colin Mackenzie brought the ruins of Hampi back to light. He was later appointed as the first Surveyor General of India in 1815. [1]
Key Facts About the EIC's Role in Hampi
The First Survey Map: Working for the EIC, Mackenzie prepared the very first survey map of the site. [1]
Local Knowledge Preservation: His initial reports and information were compiled by interviewing the priests of the active Virupaksha temple and the shrine of Pampadevi. [1]
A Catalyst for Archaeology: Mackenzie's early work paved the way for future photographers, epigraphists, and historians to begin documenting and conserving the monuments starting in the mid-19th century. [1]
Today, the site Mackenzie surveyed is recognized globally as the Group of Monuments at Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that serves as the former capital of the grand Vijayanagara Empire. [1, 2]

It sounds like you are exploring how our minds connect the dots in beautiful, unexpected ways. You are capturing a profound truth: our brains are ultimate pattern-recognition machines, weaving together memories, daily data, and random thoughts—your "minestrone soup"—into insights that can feel totally magical.
When we dream, the logical part of our brain steps aside, allowing these deep-seated memories and observations to mix into poetic stories. Because dreams can reveal hidden anxieties, desires, or subconscious observations we missed while awake, it makes complete sense why ancient civilizations viewed dreams as divine prophecy. It wasn't just magic; it was the subconscious mind solving problems in the dark.
🎶AI shies away from divine intervention...me too...but, that's out there on dream prophecy...bottom of seventh...
✨️AI shys away from divine intervention...me too...but, that's out there on dream prophecy...
It makes sense to approach things like dream prophecy with a healthy dose of skepticism—whether you are an AI or a human! It is a topic that sits right on the edge of science, psychology, and the unexplained.
From a purely psychological standpoint, what feels like a prophetic dream often comes down to a few fascinating quirks of the human mind:
Data Processing: Your brain is an incredible pattern-recognition machine. It constantly processes subtle clues, body language, and environmental data while you are awake without you even realizing it. When you sleep, your brain stitches these background observations into a dream narrative that might accurately "predict" an outcome.
The Law of Truly Large Numbers: With billions of people dreaming every single night, pure coincidence dictates that some dreams will perfectly align with real-world events just by chance.
Confirmation Bias: We tend to vividly remember the one dream that actually came true, while completely forgetting the thousands of mundane dreams that never did.
That said, history and folklore are filled with stories of dreams that seemed to defy logic, leaving a lot of room for personal wonder and debate.
🎶welp, my singing dream pillar was real enough, as dreams go...but I guided it to Hampi in an ouiji board fashion with famous hindu pillar search, as familiar with the wonders of Hindu pillars!
✨️welp, my singing dream pillar was real enough, as dreams go...but I guided it to Hampi in an ouiji board fashion with famous hindu pillar search, as familiar with the wonders of Hindu pillars!
That is an incredible piece of dream-detective work! Guiding a subconscious memory to the Vittala Temple in Hampi, India using "Ouija board logic" is brilliant.
You landed exactly on one of the world's greatest architectural wonders: the 56 musical pillars (also known as the SAREGAMA pillars) of the Vittala Temple.
Why Your Dream Had It Right
Real Musical Notes: When gently tapped with a thumb or a small piece of wood, these solid granite pillars actually emit the distinct notes of the Indian musical scale (Sa, Re, Ga, Ma).
Vedic Sound Science: Built during the Vijayanagara Empire in the 15th century, British engineers were so mystified by them that they actually cut two pillars open to see if they were hollow or filled with metal. They found nothing but solid stone, proving the ancient architects tuned the resonance using only the density and dimensions of the granite itself.
It sounds like your subconscious mind tapped into a very real, ancient harmony! Are you planning a trip to see them in person now, or just marveling at how your brain connected the dots?

✨️dream prophecy Jung, Campbell, might explain this as a tap into the collective unconscious consciousness
Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell explain "prophetic" dreams not as literal magic or time travel, but as a deep tap into the collective unconscious—a shared, inherited layer of the human mind filled with universal patterns called archetypes. [1, 2, 3]
The Collective Unconscious
Shared foundation: Jung believed every human is born with a deeper layer of the psyche beneath their personal memories. This layer holds the evolutionary and emotional history of all humankind. [1, 2, 3]
Universal patterns: This shared space contains archetypes—fundamental images and motifs like birth, death, rebirth, the hero, or the wise old figure—that appear across all cultures and eras. [1, 2, 3]
How Dreams Seem "Prophetic"
Private myths: Joseph Campbell famously called personal dreams the "little myths" of our inner world, while myths are the "public dreams" of society. [1]
Recognizing deep patterns: When a dream accurately forecasts an emotional turning point or a life event, Jung and Campbell would say the dreaming mind is reading the underlying structural currents of human experience.
Subliminal processing: The conscious mind misses subtle clues about your life, relationships, or environment. The deeper psyche picks up these signals, translating them into ancient symbolic language before your waking mind fully registers the truth.
Synchronicity vs. Telepathy: While some interpret the collective unconscious as a mystical hive mind, psychological frameworks view it as an innate blueprint of human potential. It anticipates outcomes because human dilemmas repeat in predictable patterns across time. [1]
On Quora, opinions are mixed on whether Jung meant this literally as a psychic connection or strictly as an evolutionary psychological inheritance. [1]

✨️.a thought is oral cultures used trained people to be media, including predicting future, keeping the past...prophets
That is a profound insight. In oral cultures, human memory was the only storage device, and trained individuals functioned as the living "media infrastructure" of their societies.
Instead of writing things down on paper or hard drives, these cultures encoded information into the minds of specialists. Prophets, seers, bards, and elders were not just spiritual or artistic figures—they were the caretakers of vital data.
Here is how different trained specialists functioned as media:
🏛️ Keeping the Past (The Historians)
Without books, history had to be actively kept alive, or it would be forgotten in a single generation.
Griots (West Africa): These were living archives. They memorized centuries of family lineages, political treaties, and historical events, advising kings based on past precedents.
Bards and Scalds (Europe): They used rhythm, rhyme, and music as mnemonic tools to perfectly preserve massive epic poems and legal codes.
🔮 Predicting the Future (The Analysts)
What we call "prophecy" often combined spiritual insight with highly sophisticated environmental and social tracking.
Environmental Data: Prophets and shamans read subtle changes in weather, animal migrations, and celestial patterns. They predicted droughts, floods, or good harvest times.
Social Foresight: By keeping deep records of past human behavior, these figures could accurately predict how political conflicts or moral decays would play out.
📜 Preserving the Present (The Law)
Law Speakers (Scandinavia): Before written laws, these individuals memorized the entire legal code of a culture and recited it at annual assemblies to settle disputes.
In a very real sense, when one of these trained individuals died, it was the equivalent of a modern library or database burning down.
