Water Wheel

Paddled over to the A Rooms before Breakfast...photo delivery...promised my fellow passengers on the Merced shopping trip a Poppies in the Merced Canyon pic...on the way, pic and clip of Mama Does and Two Fawns by Church Bowl...and pics and clips at the Rooms out on the lawns..well...sorta lawns and not quite meadows!...of more Deer...Bucks with their antlers just starting to grow...for sometime...Shuttled back...at the Cabin, took care of phone business...tow bill for the Bus!...pic tonight is from the Dragon Painter...the scene is exactly at Tunnel View...dont know what road or trail was there in 1919....in the clip I snagged a bit from the movie....a comparison...a 'more than coincidence' actually!...sunny blue warm...tomorrow Easter...will try to get up at Dawn for the walk...big sleep debt though...busy at work..and up late with the post ups!...really sleepy...oh..one should note how the Dragon Painter is holding the brush...and the paper stretched on wooden frames...watercolorists, I mean!!
(the road to Wawona in 1919 would, it seems, take one to Aritist's Point, now known as Tunnel View..I think I have that right!...see link to Ansel Hall's guide to roads and trails from that time...

Actually, Artist's point is above and slightly behind today's Tunnel View; It's also been called Inspiration Point. The old Wawona road leads to it. It has a better view of Half Dome up there, I think.

Trailhead is at Tunnel View, in the little parking lot, the end closet to the tunnel.

Here's some pictures:
