While waiting at the bustop in Mariposa to come back to the Valley, I was reading the Smithsonian with the Dumbo Squid on the cover...I'm gonna have to get a poster of this sometime...and there was a story in it about Thoreau and how assiduously he studied the flowers in his backyard, especially the timing of their blooms...This pic from a couple days ago.
No walkabout today...all day on the bus and back, and walkabout time was after dental visit in Mariposa...road was wet a bit when I got home, so the Valley got a little rain.
