New Bird

Out and about early....paddled to Ozone Beach....Mallards flying...pics....and out to Two Top Pine Meadow...quiet...continued on the Oustside Loop, over Chapel Bridge, and through Bobcat Meadow...Bear tracks on the Boardwalk...peddled back to the Road and to the Village...no luck...and reached my destination on time, seven thirty....and there was a line of about twenty hikers at the Permit House receiving lecture on Bear Cans and tiki holes...and, I peddled over to Siberia for Breakfast....and, peddled back...line inside, and after a bit of a wait, the lecture repeated, and then more wait....hmmph...finally got the permit, Glen Aulin....and, peddled back to the Cabin for nap before work....sunny hot blue....at Lunch: sat awhile at the Ponderosa With View of Half Dome...Three Mallards, Sandpiper, Raven, Grosbeak, Robin, about....and, sighted New Bird, a Big Wings, that I cant find in my books!....and cant find one book, and too sleepy to look!(the Old Nature Notes has reports of Farallon Cormorants, which I think are now called Double Crested Cormorants, and I think that is this Bird)...very cool Bird...and, another short report...and, up early tomorrow...so to sleep...and very cool to see the very cool Bird!!
