Open To Interpretation

Notes: concerns of the moment...game on...on the radio...Angels and Rangers...Calhoun with a lead off hit...Fletcher up...radio was going on about the 12 minute first flight of the Wright brothers...time was I went on that that was a 'not so!'...

quote

Much controversy has surrounded these claims. It is most widely held today that the Wright Brothers were the first to fly successfully. Brazil regards Santos-Dumont as the first successful aviator because the Wright Flyer took off from a rail and, after 1903, used a catapult. An editorial in the influential Jane's All the World's Aircraft 2013 edition supported the claim of Gustave Whitehead.

my concern was from a book I read about the early American astronauts, and, it said, plain as day, that Alan Shepard was the first to reach outer space...Ohtani up...Angels scored a run...Ohtani drills one through the infield...another run!...Angels 2-0...four straight singles...no mention of the Russians, or Yuri Gagarin...

He was the first human to journey into outer space when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on 12 April 1961.

Simmons hits a sac fly, but Upton messed up not coming home from 3rd...no matter...Arcia gets a two rbi double!...Angels 4-0...just who was first may be a concern of the moment going on forward...a recollected pre-occupation...an aside...I was reading a news article on the web, finished, and saw a click bait story, a bio of the First Lady...dodged the ad buttons and clicked the 'nexts', and got to the last pic, and thought, wth!...pitching change?...Angels 5-0...no, Angels made out...Cole on the mound...to bottom of 2n...announcers giddy thinking game is in the creel...a wonder if Cole will go five innings and qualify for win...Cole not expected to go that long...one out...two out...

it's the painting!...it has the shield/stele shape, and the 'where things are is what things are' that I've been going on about...yep...two run home run by Rangers...Angels 5-2...there's a name for the arc/gabled top of these...

In architecture, a tympanum (plural, tympana) is the semi-circular or triangular decorative wall surface over an entrance, door or window, which is bounded by a lintel and arch.[1] It often contains sculpture or other imagery or ornaments.[

Calhoun waps a home run...Angels 6-2...tympanum refers to architecture...must be a word for paintings...that area at the top...Egyptians would put representations of the sun there...Ohtaini K...Angels make out...to bottom of 2nd...anyway, I tried to find that pic with a caption...no luck...but no matter...there are a bunch of them...Catholic iconography, especially in the East, is full of Egytpian like things...another home run for Rangers...hmmph...Angels 6-3...I suspect this all came about through Byzantium and the Egyptian Coptic Christian...there was a civil war of sorts among early Christians over icons...

quote

Iconoclasm[Note 1] is the social belief in the importance of the destruction of icons and other images or monuments, most frequently for religious or political reasons.
... ... ...
Conversely, one who reveres or venerates religious images is called (by iconoclasts) an iconolater; in a Byzantine context, such a person is called an iconodule or iconophile.
... ... ...
Akhetaten, instituted a significant shift in Egyptian artistic styles alongside a campaign of intolerance towards the traditional gods and a new emphasis on a state monolatristic tradition focused on the god Aten, the Sun disk— many temples and monuments were destroyed as a result:
In rebellion against the old religion and the powerful priests of Amun, Akhenaten ordered the eradication of all of Egypt's traditional gods. He sent royal officials to chisel out and destroy every reference to Amun and the names of other deities on tombs, temple walls, and cartouches to instill in the people that the Aten was the one true god.[6]
Public references to Akhenaten were destroyed soon after his death.

the early Coptic Christians did the same thing in the Temple of Hathor at Dendera...they chipped away at the wall reliefs, and put up a few Maltese like crosses of their own...a back and forth tradition!...for sometime the Coptic Christians...curiously, they left images of Horus and Isis alone...thought being that Horus corresponded to Jesus, Isis to Mary...many Mystereon sites setting side by side Horus resting on Isis' lap, with Jesus resting on Mary's lap...a side by side with the pre-supposition that Egyptian iconography was taken up by Christianity...from the look of the painting behind the Pope and the President, Christian lifted from the Pythagoreans too!...surrounding Jesus rising from the tomb, is the famous sacred geometry vecisa piscis...

quote

The vesica piscis is a type of lens, a mathematical shape formed by the intersection of two disks with the same radius, intersecting in such a way that the center of each disk lies on the perimeter of the other.[

K...Alverez came in with no one out and two on...and put Rangers down 123...to top of 3rd...there are other elements in the painting...each with their special place in the composition...for like three thousand years that was a tradition that held true for the Egyptians, the canons that were used for composition...Pujols makes out...Simmons up...Christianity followed on, and down to today icons following the old traditions are still being made...don't know but a lot of modern artists who look independent from the traditions, unique in their own styles, are still holding true to the iconographies...I don't know how they do it!...art classes never said anything about emblem lore...what icons meant...where they go in a painting...and it's a struggle to find captions that explain the old ones...somehow the lore is passed on...suspect this has always been in kind of hermetic schools...

quote

Hermeticism, also called Hermetism,[1][2] is a religious, philosophical, and esoteric tradition based primarily upon writings attributed to Hermes Trismegistus ("Hermes Thrice Great").[3] These writings have greatly influenced the Western esoteric tradition and were considered to be of great importance during both the Renaissance[4] and the Reformation.[5] The tradition claims descent from a prisca theologia, a doctrine that affirms the existence of a single, true theology that is present in all religions and that was given by God to man in antiquity.[
... ... ...
Isaac Newton placed great faith in the concept of an unadulterated, pure, ancient doctrine, which he studied vigorously to aid his understanding of the physical world.[17] Many of Newton's manuscripts—most of which are still unpublished[17]—detail his thorough study of the Corpus Hermeticum, writings said to have been transmitted from ancient times, in which the secrets and techniques of influencing the stars and the forces of nature were revealed, i.e. As Above, So Below.

the vecisa piscis around Jesus, I learn, is called a mandorla...one out...

quote

A mandorla is an aureola, or frame, usually in the shape of a vesica piscis, which surrounds the figures of Christ and the Virgin Mary in traditional Christian art.[

... ... ...
In one special case, at Cervon (Nièvre), Christ is seated surrounded by eight stars, resembling blossoming flowers.[4] At Conques the flowers are six-petalled. At Cervon, where the almond motif is repeated in the rim of the mandorla, they are five-petalled, as are almond flowers—the first flowers to appear at the end of winter, even before the leaves of the almond tree.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandorla

hang on to that bit about the flowers with different numbered petals!...sometimes the mandorala is covered with stars, sometimes with sunbeams...its the self same icon element that surrounds the Virgin of Guadalupe...

quote

MEXICO CITY - From tortillas and skateboards to tattoos on drug lords, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is omnipresent in Mexico, and let’s face it: Despite the pontiff’s love for the poor and the peripheries, it’s the Virgin of Guadalupe who truly brought Pope Francis to Aztec soil.
“How could I not come?” Francis asked the Mexican bishops Saturday. “Could the Successor of Peter, called from the far south of Latin America, deprive himself of seeing la Virgen Morenita?” (“The brown-skinned Virgin”).

Usually, she is shown holding a palm stem, bearing notches to denote the recording of the passage of time, especially for keeping track of the allotment of time for the life of the pharaoh.
