I should have set something in the pic to give a sense of scale!! The creek is about a foot and a half wide.
The heat makes me hole up in the cabin, and I sat by the twin trees awhile, but nothing was stirring, likely for the same reason!
Oh, but a poem..
The pines swaying in the wind
Sound like a whiteheaded woodpecker
And fool me.
