 Open To Interpretation

X

Notes:  Game on...on the radio...Ohtani steals second...on on a W...Mariners at Angels...LaStella traded to Oakland...Saint Andrew's Cross is an "X"...I've gone on about it before...it may represent the summer and winter solstices...Albert with ground rule double...Angels 1-1...the Sun has to be the oldest mystery, it's travel through the sky...and close observation notes it's changes from season to season...the Sun commands everything, so, soh, the ancients's motifs of the Sun became emblems for Kings...or some such...Upton with hit, Albert scores, and, Upton caught in run down...Upton, Upton, Upton...anyway, Angels 2-1...there are a lot of different cross motifs...some about the solstices, some about the four directions...and these meant a lot to the ancient keepers of lore...the Heralds I've come to call them...the Costumes and Scenery Department...just like now with the costume history drama movies...watching clip of old movie El Cid made me think of this...Mariners made out...to bottom of seventh...and just came from clip going on about the sets for moviePrivate Ryan...set in Ireland with Irish soldiers for actors...I worked for the Decorating Department as a delivery driver at Disneyland, so, I have a notion of what the Heralds are about!...so, soh, I tried search: index of Mesoamerican Motifs...a thought from noting the Index of Folklore Motifs...that is available...for sometime a looksee...the search turned up no index, but some nuggets...oddly worded searches do that!...and I found this:

The Crossed Bands Motif: What does it mean? Brittany Luther University of Central Florida

The crossed-bands motif, also referred to as the St. Andrew’s cross, is a motif present in Olmec, Izapan and Maya art. There are multiple interpretations surrounding this motif including those of Quirarte (1981), who makes a connection with serpents; Reilly, (2000) who connects it with celestial associations as a symbol of the crossing point of the eclipse and the Milky Way; and Julia Guernsey (2001), who discusses it as a portal to the other world.

I snagged that pic from google images, which in turn lifted it from the linked paper, which is behind a paywall...the glyph on the left is the cornfield glyph...the four corners' ends like kernels or sprouting plants...and there's the X, emblematic of the solstices? and the three dots, emblematic of Orion?...a recollection: when Orion and a seasonal time for planting aligned, it was a holiday...I went over some of this back a ways too...I have to keep re-lighting the torch, so to speak!...recounting how I've gotten to this point in the labyrinth!...like old computer game game Shadowgate...Angels at bat...Trout up...it must be bottom of eighth...Home Run!!!...Rendon hit by pitch...the pics in the first link hard to copy...oh, wait, I can snip...brb...Albert hit by pitch too...there, above,  I added image with the crossed bands motif...Adell up...and I've gone on before how the X relates to the Olin  glyph, which is everywhere on Aztec things, famously in the middle of the famous Calendar Stone...K...Castro up...K...to top of ninth Angels 3-0...

the papers don't speculate...but an obvious speculation is the 'crossed bands' of the Egyptians...brb...one out...

Mariners knock a run in, then get caught out trying to stretch the hit into a triple...two out!...Angels 3-2...the Egyptians too had a distinctive planting season, and if I remember right, it relates to Orion too...fly out...you can put a halo over this one!!!...more on X tomorrowmorrow!...
