Balboa Fog
Notes: out and back to Balboa Pier...the fog bank out around Catalina came ashore...what a change in mood!...Inktober prompt Rocket another tough one...went to the Fun Zone looking for a Rocket Ride...closest is the the bungee bounce thing...really only two rides, the little Ferris Wheel, and the Bungee Bounce-three if one count's the Ferry...oh, a bunch with the boat rentals, bicycle rentals, Whale Watch, Harbor Cruise!...snacked on a hot dog and lemonade from a different stand...maned by taciturn young fellows with tattoos working like they'd rather not be working...Tyrenean Pirates to be sure...at the beach, one PodBoy Skimboarding with his girl watching...go pro on his head, camera in her hand...it's not easily done!...lots of times the ocean wave is else ware, and they just face palm, belly flop, on the sand!...the timing, the fast run down the steep beach slope, crucial!...a goal is to 'rocket' off a wave crest with an acrobatic "that was sick"...I think the Dodgers are done...brb...Braves 2-1. sixth inning...left my Sony transistor radio on top of Silver, my Jeep, while packing up last evening at Aliso...along Hwy One, I heard a kerchunk on the pavement...looking for radio today, and, Oh...sigh...really good little radio...and not easy to find...hunt on for replacement...
