Strand Beach

Notes: out and back...to like nowhere in particular!...Mr. Toad would understand...thought to go to Balboa, skipped that...thought to stop at Crystal Cove...parking looked problematic...try Laguna Main Beach...empty slot near the Museum...two dollars on the meter, looked down-curb painted white, three minute parking...wot?..why the meter?...hmmph...try for Aliso...bumper tp bumper through Laguna mid-town...poked the cameras out the passenger window for at least something!...got not much...continued on to Aliso, Sun still up...I made it?...nope...parking full...another pic through the window, the Lifeguard Tower...first thought had been to stop at Crystal Cove, and draw from memory Alphonso's wave tutorials...Storm the Inktober prompt...that pushed to when I got home, and from the youtube reference...meanwhile, the Dodgers won yesterday, and, and won this evening...this on the out radio...I mean, Aliso was really full...like parents picking up kids at school, everyone waiting for a parking slot...continued...tried Salt Creek...same story....here the cropped Palms...noted I have this thing for clusters of Palm Trees, in threes!...this pic from the sloping grass lawn park that leads down to the Beach...this IS a scene...a Saturday or Sunday evening, sunset, with everyone picnicking...for sometime!...about to 'no luck' the sunset, and saw sign Beach Access just north of Dana Point down slope...Strand Beach!?...a new beach to me, though I may have been here as a kid-Young's Beach then...same story with parking, almost, but found one...hurried over to the bluff...and saw the sun on the horizon along with the bluff audience thereabout-pic...I did get out of Silver, my jeep, and walk, a little bit!...part of all this is just for the exercise!...took pic from Strand bluff looking North...Strand a sometime...Dana Point, unlike Laguna Beach, has a lot of cookie cutter architecture...this happens when big chunks of real estate are in the hands of one developer...listened to Astros and Rays on long ride back through Saturday traffic...seeing the roads filled up a kind of return to normalcy I don't mind...I think everyone has gotten it into their heads to evening picnic at the Beaches!
