Slippery

Balboa Pier, Sandcrab Hunters

Notes: out and back to Balboa Pier...had in mind all the way on the out an idea for Inktober prompt Slippery...wife taking caught fish off husbands fishing line...see this all the time at the end of Balboa Pier!...so, soh, just thought to walk out to the end of the Pier, have snack at Ruby's, watch and sketch the fisherfolk...hmmph...heat, and nothing to eat all day, exhausted, I settled for a memory imaginary, and got a snack at Frida's...enchiladas again, with soda...paddled over to the south side of the Pier, and sat in the green chair, waiting for the sunset, watching people play with the waves, or the waves play with them!...always a lot of photo ops, but shy about photos of people,,,the sun silhouettes a kinda work around...examples: I looked up from my drawing, and like magic, like a one year old with a big grin appeared beside me playing in the sand...a father, blocking my sunset view, taking pics of his son wave dodging, trying not to let his feet get wet...a group of big girls, I mean big, getting rolled about by the shore brake waves...Picasso could have done something with that!...the waves and the girls had like the same roundness!...then, then after the sun went down, a photo shoot happened along...a bookend  to the sketch I did at Aliso!...go figure...photogs are fair to photograph...have pic...brb...photog was doing something trick to do portrait in such low, but rich in warm hue, light...to calibrate, they had like a grey scale chart to set in front of the model...maybe it was black and white...nah...one can do that now with all photos in the editing...a mystery...listened to the Dodgers and Braves...who won?...brb...ohh...Braves 5-1...and Astros down two to Rays...
