Aliso Beach Bridge

Notes: Oh, another out and back, to Aliso Beach...listened to Padres and Angels on the way...the Coast from Corona Del Mar to San Clemente is scalloped, each beach a crescent scooped out from the bluffs...and at each end of the beaches the bluffs jut out...so, soh, once arrived at Aliso, maybe an hour to sunset, I thought to walk to the north end of the beach for the North Bluff...but a few steps from the parking lot, I looked to my right, and saw the Aliso Bridge...oh, that's one of the Laguna plein air icons!...had my folding chair and drawing newsprint pad and did a charcoal sketch right there...people do a nice thing with the parking...if they have time on their ticket, and they're leaving, they give it to someone else...so, got to park for free...someday, return the favor...by the bridge I think is one of the spots surfers surf the river wave when it hits the ocean...this is kind of cool...happens in the winter...a sand berm traps the rain runoff into a big pond blow the bridge...the surfers with just their feet make a little channel to get things started, breaking the sand dam, and before you know it, the rain water is rushing into the ocean, and the collision making a surf-able wave...I'll link clip...

oh, Angels 2-0   put a halo over this one...oh, the bearded guy in the clip, with the flowers and bamboo, was there today, picking up a couple pieces of bamboo...
