Notes: Out and back to Aliso Beach before dawn...I had in mind two views...one was of a side street that ends at the bluffs' edges...there's a bunch of these...thought was to park opposite across Hwy One, but there is like only one street on that side to see over Hwy One...hard to explain...for sometime...thought is the side street ends in the ocean and sky, usually with a park bench to take in the view...then there's the interesting buildings on either side of the street...everything in Laguna is custom built, and often imaginative!...anyway, the second thing was to park and do a street view of Hotel Laguna...there it looks cool...in the photo, eh...maybe for sometime a park and paint...lots of plein air artists use the steering wheel for an easel!...there's even a tray to be bought for computers, and snacking...that useful for park and watercoloring!...anyway, I got a snack at JackintheBox, and went to Aliso Beach...this before Hotel pic...that was on way back...every morning, a Tai Chi group exercises under the Palms...arriving, I took note, but couldn't see them well, so skipped that scene...parked and snacked and took pics, and sketches of people sitting on those cement benches...beginning of a collection!...at a loss what to charcoal on the newsprint, so, soh, put my flip flops on...feet going to get wet, and went for a walk around the South Bluff...on the other side is a whole another crescent beach, like maybe half the size of Aliso...didn't have the newsprint pad with, but did a sharpie sketch of the odd rock...all the rock thereabout is odd...small hard rocks of all sorts in a soft sandstone...and no sea life in the splash zone...a looksee at the geology of these bluffs!...so, soh, I was going to leave with next to nothing for today's effort, but spotted the Skid Kid talking to a friend by their cars...was he going to skim board?!...I put more time on the parking meter, be cool to draw the skim boarders, but when I came back, they'd left...Aliso is one of the best spots, so likely I'll see skim boarders there sometime...anyway, with more parking time, I paddled over to the entry and the Palms...did the skectch...success!...I hadn't thought a small section of Aliso Bridge would be in view, right in the center...there's hope, ObiWan, for this view!...Diamonbacks 9 Angels 8 last night...Clippers lost to the Nuggets...whole thing is rigged to pit the Lakers against Boston...
