Day of the Turtles-After Today
Notes: Wendy's: southwest salad combo, coffee, cookie...lol...I've been counseled to write a thousand words a day...and, and, as it is I'm in the midst of posting a sketch everyday, and, a pic is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes...on youtube, there's a vlog about storyboarding, how Disney perfected such to bridge from concept to full on production...brb...bk...see above...most of my writing is riffs on others' writing...fiction a beyondbeyond...but...anyway...I've written enough about After Today, my sci fi story, to be able to relate it in words...but I realize how much further I would be along from these drafts to finality if I storyboarded it...little thumbnails of the major scenes...I kind of do that in my head before hand...I 'see' the scene, then I try to tell about it...with words...and way too many words...this seems a kinda writers' pot hole...telling not showing, or some such...so, soh, I did a sketch of the Turtles invading the dump, eating everything...and the panic among the workers...and, and, from making the sketch, wala, it came to me how the Turtles work...their stomachs are tremendously hot, reducing everything they eat...that's new...earlier I had them just storing the eaten trash, taking it underground where another machine made machine processed it...that still so...but now, I have it the trash is made molten, and migrates through to the Turtles' shells, where it hardens...just like the Icelandic volcano lavas...there's clip where there's a scene of a black cooled lava field, and a sudden one small part turns molten red, and the red spreads over the whole field like spilt red milk...apparently, the black lava is often very thin, and can be melted through...so, soh, the Turtles' shells are black cooled stone like, little tectonic plates, and as the Turtles eat, the shells grow...the shells' surface is tremendously hot, red new shell emerging at the seams...and they just grow and grow to hugeness!...if I had the computer animation skills, I could make this!...my memory of the earthmovers at the dump was spot on...see toys...Angels lost again...Astros 13-2...Ohtani hit another home run, and sprinted around the bases, again...I, I think he feels sorta alone...Angels got no pitching...Padres wooped the Dodgers, who do have pitching, for last two games...brb...bk...top of seventh, Dodgers 5-3...to travel underground, the Turtles just melt a path/tunnel...old sci fi film has this, I think...a variation on WE's (World Endeavor) original tunneling machine...which made possible their underground towns...revisiting the tale, some other things popped into my head...Yesterday too is an AI...Yesterday the albino girl who allies with Jacob and his family, and Today, the protagonist, AI...but this is hidden all through the story...Jacob thinks she's human, the last remaining WE scientist...this a note to myself...Tomorrow is the villain AI...so, so now there are three, but Yesterday's true nature hidden...and there was something else I wanted to remember...the coins have become pectorals...a hark to all those strange pre-Columbian figures with pectorals...those the strangest of pectorals from all over the ancient world...oh, the Turtles are really siren loud, and people wear earplugs, dust masks, eye shields, around them...the pectorals near on magic making for telepathy and things yet to be thought of!...the frame, the Twelve Labors of Hercules, I've mentioned...and that is about the atonement of Hercules...After Today is about Today's atonement for wiping out WE...Hercules early on he killed an innocent, and so tasked by the gods to labor...I have to study all the labors closely...close study...the Greek tales are full of fantastic creatures, but with little explanation of how they are made and work...they are just 'shows'...Tantalus, Talus!...the all metal giant, filled with liquid molten metal that the Argonauts, in the movie, bring down by unscrewing a plug on his ankle...brb...see above...oh, the other new thought was After Today will dovetail with the Black Deck Tales...here, Jason is talking to the talking figure head from the Argo-Athena, broken off by Talus...my talking oak plank from Dodona...feature of the Black Ship Argo...needless to say, these old films made a lasting impression!...scene has it Hephaestus made the metal Talus-all the Titans, to commemorate...brb...

Talos is said to have been made by Hephaestus at the request of Zeus, to protect Europa (consort of Zeus) from people who would want to kidnap her.

well, there it is...Hephaestus makes the Turtles!...and perhaps they have that "Achilles heel" plug too!..42 lines at twenty words apiece...1000 about!...top of ninth Dodgers 5-4...Dodgers 5-4...
