quote

In Taoist metaphysics, distinctions between good and bad, along with other dichotomous moral judgments, are perceptual, not real; so, the duality of yin and yang is an indivisible whole. In the ethics of Confucianism on the other hand, most notably in the philosophy of Dong Zhongshu (c. 2nd century BC), a moral dimension is attached to the idea of yin and yang.

Notes: game on...on the radio,,,Home Run for Hunter Renfroe!...bottom of fourth...Royals 3, Angels 2...Royals at Angels....baseball announcers reiterate!...back aways, I noted that a way to do life drawing is watch baseball...the players assume the same postures over and over, so their moving isn't a problem!...it's the very same with the announcers speaking, the crowd cheering, talking...bird species have one call, and one call only, sorta...baseball, elaborate as it is, is one song...maybe that is what Graves means with his one story...I dunno...I've become proficient umpiring softball to the point of 'ritual"...all my mechanics "on cue"...which is what the craft of umpiring demands!...I'm very low key, undemanding, which encourages a kinda superficial sloppiness...but I've had to acquire the traits of umpiring: dusting off and polishing my shoes before each game, putting a pleat in my pants, turning my upraised fist inward towards my ear, 'the hammer" strike!...and then of all things, the bow and arrow, 'strike three"!...hmmph...Artemis...emblem of Artemis is the bow and arrow, she's the Huntress, aaand, the crescent of the crescent moon resembles a bow, sooo, the Moon as emblem of Artemis...as often as I've gazed at van Gogh's Starry Night, I missed admiring the crescent moon up in the top right corner...oh, Trout hits a home run...bottom of fifth...Royals 3, Angels 4...reading about it I was trying to picture it, seeing the yin yang thing in the middle as the Moon...the interlocked swirls...Ohtani long fly out...hmmph...welp, it's the swirls I'm after, the step fret triangle...the frenetic brush strokes are seen in van Gogh's drawing strokes too with charcoal and such...other artists use the method...I attempt it...kinda neat...the Impressionists use it for paint strokes...in and of themselves, the strokes are a motif...kinda sloppy...leastwise the curators of the French Salon thought as much...but that changed...anyway, back a long ways, I was proud of myself for figuring out two spirals together represent the passage of a year...the days growing long, then shorter...that could be the Moon too!...the phases of the Moon...the famous Yin Yang symbol is the phases of the moon...the motif often has a white dot on the dark side, and dark spot on the white side...New Moon and Dark Moon...Royals tie it up...Royals 4, Angels 4...and then Royals 6, Angels 4, aaand then Royals 6, Angels 5...Renfroe with a second home run!...and another Angel run comes across...Royals 6, Angels 6...I didn't book mark it, but while browsing I happened on a statue of Confucius with Greek Keys, paired, along the border of his robe...Chinese meander...bottom of seventh...Ohtani up...Trout just struck out...Ohtani pops out...ancient China is so full of motifs, symbols, and talk about them...too much...metaphysics...the bit of textile is from the Wari/Huari...two Greek Keys inverse...our Ears!...Einstein noted that just considering really simple things, can lead on to searching up really complicated stuff...metaphysics/physics...the spirals of our ears is to focus sound vibrations in the air...our nose shape for scents...Renfroe with a lead off double....bottom of ?...two outs...home run...:"outa here!...Matt Thaiss two run knock...Royals 6. Angels 8...bottom of eighth!...Terry has moments...bit sloppy accidentally...to top of ninth...hit by pitch...lead off runner on...oh, a Home Run by the Royals...over the yellow line?...review...a double...one run scored...runner on third...weird ruling..."error on the throw"...one down...base hit...Royals 8, Angels 8...bases loaded...Royals 11, Angels 8...to bottom of ninth..,how many sounds there are!...how many scents!!!...Trout up...K...Ohtani up...ground out..."and the ballgame is over"...
