Silver my Jeep in the shop for service...waiting in the waiting room...Dream: I'm in a lot with my Jeep...park it, then get in a giant truck...making a delivery?...seat too far back...adjust it...too close...but in a hurry, so deal with it...I roll off, but the lot, yard, turns to mud...try to avoid, then I see kids getting swallowed by the mud, and their moms jump into save them...I hop out, grab them one by one from the mud, first the kids, then the moms...no easy task...and they're not very big...like mini people...set on a dryer patch, they shake off the mud, aaand then they shape shift into cats, something, and run off...I look up to consider the farm workers, gardners about...all along they have been about, but don't notice me, the truck, the mud pit-like they are in another dream...I wake up...there's a youtube the feed dropped about Uma Thurman, mom of Uma Thurman...a piece of work!...she was top fashion model in New York, hooked up with Timothy Leary and a whole crowd, and founded a refugee camp for Tibetans!...
✨️Salvador Dalí and Uma Thurman are linked through a surprising and intimate connection: Dalí was the one who introduced Uma’s mother, Nena von Schlebrügge, to her first husband, psychedelic guru Timothy Leary. [
The Salvador Dalí Connection
The Introduction: In the 1960s, Dalí Curiomoved in the same avant-garde circles as Nena von Schlebrügge, who was a high-fashion model. He introduced her to Dr. Timothy Leary. [1, 2, 3, 4
The Marriage: Nena and Leary were married in 1964, although the marriage was short-lived. [1, 2
Family Lineage: After divorcing Leary, Nena married Robert Thurman, a Columbia University professor and the first Westerner to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist monk. They had Uma Thurman. [1
The Pulp Fiction Connection
Aside from the family history, there is a prominent pop culture link between the two. Dalí’s eccentric surrealism and Quentin Tarantino's gritty pop-cinema style both rely heavily on striking, dream-like, and iconic imagery. Uma Thurman's character, Mia Wallace, and the "Jack Rabbit Slim's" dance scene in Pulp Fiction are so deeply embedded in pop culture that many artists have created Salvador Dalí-inspired micro-tattoos or artistic mash-ups of Thurman dancing alongside the surrealist master himself. 🎶a Curio!...and it gets worse...
✨️salvador dali noosphere
+1
Salvador Dalí was deeply influenced by the concept of the noosphere—a philosophical framework of planetary consciousness developed by Jesuit priest and paleontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Dalí used his "nuclear mysticism" to translate these abstract, spiritual, and scientific theories into his artwork. [1, 2, 3
The "Noosphere" Define
The noosphere is a concept proposing that after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and biosphere (biological life), the next stage of Earth's evolution is a cognitive, interconnected layer of human thought and consciousness. Teilhard de Chardin believed this collective consciousness was constantly evolving, driven by scientific and spiritual interconnectedness, toward a final point of unification called the Omega Point. [1, 2
Dalí’s Interpretation: "Nuclear Mysticism
During his mid-to-late career in the 1950s, Dalí merged his fascination with atomic physics with Teilhard de Chardin's spiritual philosophies. Dalí proclaimed he was updating Spanish mysticism, using his art to prove the underlying unity and spirituality of the physical universe. [1, 2
Key Artworks & Concept
The Ecumenical Council (1960): This colossal painting is widely considered Dalí’s direct visual translation of the noosphere and the Omega Point. It depicts a chaotic yet harmonious blend of historical, religious, and scientific imagery, centering on the interconnectedness of human consciousness, Catholicism, and atomic science. [1, 3
Galatea of the Spheres (1952): A masterpiece of this era. It depicts his wife and muse, Gala, fractured into dozens of floating atomic spheres. It visually reflects the noosphere's idea of a discontinuous, particle-based reality that is held together by invisible, unifying mental forces. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5
