Baseball Corn

Notes:...it's a great movie, Field of Dreams...and I don't know if the script writers thought the corn field a connection with the Mayan Maize god, or as I have, the pitching mound a hark to the primeval mound of the Egyptians, or the crack in the Turtle's shell Pakal emerges from in guise as Maize God...a seed in the soil opens the ground and grows...and this all tied in with sunlight, and water, and earth...to know when to plant, they needed to know the seasons...the "fret   step   fret", too is water as wave, the curled frets, and an opening in the earth, the steps...Turtles famously represent the Earth...these motifs about birth...Earth birth...not so much a heavenly birth after life...though much of that is written into the motifs...and make a mess!...oh, Baseball is an era, a mileu, a culture, a civilization, held together by the fans. fans who remember their first games, and attend to the sport to their last days...from that "soil" so to speak, emerges the miraculous efforts of the players...Field of Dreams in deed...
