Note:  Happy Fourth!...Game on...on the radio...Angels at Padres...bottom of third...no score...Ohtani pitching...top of fourth...aaand, no Trout...fractured hamate bone in his wrist-months to heal...big blow to Angels playoff hopes...happened last night in Angels loss...Angels 2, Padres 10...went to game Saturday, and hoped to get giveaway Bobble Heads, Trout and Ohtani together...heck...now, after last night, last time they might be together!...likely Angels won't be in the hunt come September now, and Ohtani will hit the free market...what a disaster over a little hamate fracture, small but ominous as so many things go on there in the hand-nerves, tendons and such...Ohtani flies out...one out...Rendon up...neighborhood smells like gunpowder....illegal fireworks popular...thought is the new roof removes the Old House from danger...the shingles held up for 70 years or so...oh, now Rendon goes down from foul...I found the artist who painted the Hotel Laguna painting-Ken Auster-1949-2016..."in a way it reminds you of Trout"...Rendon helped off the field, can't finish his at bat...Trout couldn't finish his...Moustakis ground out...Double Bobble of Trout and Ohtani instant collectable, over a hundred dollars on ebay, and going up...the Auster painting is a collectable too!...more about sometime...been binge watching Star Wars Clone Wars, the cartoon character series...it's getting hard to distinguish cartoons from grown up movies!...don't know, maybe that's how it always has been...all movies cartoonish...but Clone Wars addresses real world stuff...oh, Padres with a two out double and two runs...Angels 0, Padres 2...with two out, Ohtani walked two...someone check on Ohtani!...a mound visit...Escobar dogs an easy grounder...misfortune dogging the Angels...each Clone War episode is it's own story against the bigger story of the New Republic against the Separatists...the Dark Side Empire is in decline but its remnants are hidden in the Separatists and the Republic...the Republic keeps getting blindsided, not knowing whence the betrayals-it's the top Senator, Palpatine(?) ...notable parallels with on going war in Ukraine!...Renfore hits a homerun...Angels 1, Padres 2....creators of Clone Wars lift a lot form current events...been meaning to study the youtube breakdowns and easter egg hunts...they lift too from World of Warcraft, and Stargate...bad guys in WOW associate with a sickly green color-skin, vapors, lakes-just so in Clone Wars...Stargate had these violin sounds linked to the villian...one high bow stroke...a pause...then a low stroke...just so in Clone Wars...such subtleties!...then there is the New Republics Logo...I've noted before it is a Pelta, with an embellishment...readsaid it is a Rising Phoenix rebirth motif...another Ohtani walk, and a Wallach passed ball put runner on second...no one out...base hit...runners first and third...need a mound visit to Ohtani!....he got out of the last inning jam, now he's right back in one, no one out!...bottom of fifth...that Republic Pelta very like the Peltas on the cover of May/June Archaeology...K, one down...now, in the last Clone Wars episode I just watched, the heroes, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Snips/Ashoka, get kidnapped by the very heart of the force-an old sorcerer with two rival children, a daughter, the light side, and a son, the dark side...they seek "the chosen one", which is a trope-the search for the chosen one!, and they think it is Anakin-Darth Vader to be...Clone Wars is a prequel to the plots of the first three Star Wars Movies...Star Wars fans have to read and watch everything, cartoons, books, movies, interviews, reviews, to stay abreast of things-somewhat like being a baseball fan!!!...Anakin has glimmering of his future as Darth Vader, so the Clone Wars interweaves...the Old Greek plays had this feature...from the Trojan War, stories sprang-prequals and sequals!...Ohtani grounds out...to bottom of sixth...WOW is all about these interwoven before and after times...I haven't played it in a long time, too much to catch up on!...Ohtani still on the mound...anyway, the Force Sorcerer resides in an out of time and place environment encapsulated in a verticle twinned pyramid...in twenty four hours the landscape cycles through all four seasons...Padres with a home run...Angels 1, Padres 4...still no mound visit...and another home run...fire Neven!...geez...Angels 1, Padres 5....next, a wild pitch..."now they are going to take a look at Shohei"...ya think?....the Sorcerers castle has all kinds of motifs...a Zodiac high in the background sky....and in one scene is a stylized  yin yang...soooo, the script writers are referencing...and trying to fill out what the "Force: is...Ohtani done...Loope in relief...somewhere youtube has a breakdown of this episode, episodes 3...brb...Season 3, Episode Fifteen...force fielders anchorites...Science Fiction is operatic!...but then, so is Mythology...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg6cHXBhLnM   ...link links one snip..."review" is in the comments...Ohtani with a blister...Rendon a contusion...Reyes in for Loope...another Padres run...Angels 1, Padres 6...runners at corners...one more Padres run...Angels 1, Padres 7...bottom of eighth...I thought to do a kids' book of "tropisms"...thinking that made me think of "trope"..."Trope" the Force?...Forces?...the old gods and goddesses of Myth often represent some force of Nature...they can be big and blunt like a falling rock, but more likely small things, like a cold lemonade on a hot day...and the curio  is, can a motif, and emblem, be "tropic"?...seems so, and an intricated complicated Universe it is!...now, I couldn't decipher the signature on the Laguna Hotel painting...I asked around...no luck...directed to appraisers, I thought that will be too much money...sooo, I set it aside...content with having it hanging on the the living room wall...but then, I was cleaning my room-total turbulence-and found a business card from the Auster Gallery in Laguna Beach, his signature on the card like on the painting for a logo, an emblem...I must have picked it up when I joined LAPAPA, in their gallery, but had no memory of it...but that card identified the painting...go figure!...Auster made instruction videos, and I'm eager to get them...he was onto things I pursue too...something of Fragonard in the brushwork...at the OCC swap meet this weekend, I go to exercise my legs, a small framed print of Girl Reading a Book by Fragonard...how much?...Five dollars...Two!, I offered...It's new...I have a bigger one already, no thanks...and I do, I found that one at the swap meet the week before...Girl Reading a Book a favorite, tale of it back in the blog somewhere...Angels batting in top of ninth...Adel with a double?...he was called up from triple A...soon, Angels team might be all triple As!...Angels with bases loaded...it's like Angels 2, Padres 8?...top of ninth?...oh, Angels 4!, Padres 8...Fletcher at the plate...bad call K...fump...Moniak up..."That's horrible"...W...Angels 5, Padres 8...Ward up...ground out, 4-3...Angels 5, Padres 8...
