On Growth and Form
There are passage in the Muir book I've been reading that remind me of D Arcy Thompson, and his book, On Growth and Form....doing a search, I find that it is Thompson's 150 year anniversary, and celebrated here: http://www.dundee.ac.uk/museum/zoology/
Muir and Thompson aren't contemporaries, Thompson lived a bit later.
