Breakfast, and Shuttled over to the Village to check mail...walked back through Bobcat Meadow...sat awhile at the Woodpecker Tree...quiet...and then to the Creek to sit awhile waiting for Kingfisher near the Twin Fallen Cedars...and after awhile, Kingfisher obliged, and swooped in overhead and perched on the Cedars...pics...just three...then Kingfisher was off towards the Creek Bridge, like yesterday....watched a bit, and there might be two Kingfishers....Kingfisher came back, and I tried for flight pics, but no luck....and followed out to Creek's End, where I sat an even longer while...no luck, but could hear Kingfisher's chatter back over the Creek...time, picked up, and on the way back by Duck Harbor, did get some blurry flight pics....sunny hot blue....at Lunch: sat awhile at the Fallen Cedar...Song Sparrow, Black Bird, Phoebe, Mallards about...Robins on way back....will try for more Kingfisher pics tomorrow!...oh...report of Mama Doe and One Fawn back together....

lovely shots - l used to not like august in the valley much because it was so hot and DUSTY but this season there is still some water and it must have been a great summer there. miss it so much.....
