After Breakfast, Shuttled over to the Village...checked mail, and picked up permit--Mono Pass--for tomorrow....paddled back and sat awhile at the Creek by Duck Harbor....quiet, but after awhile, glimpsed Merganserlings 7 approaching...flattened out on the Gravel....took a lot of pics, but most wrong exposure...after Mergansers passed, picked up and paddled ahead, and flattened out on the Sand by the Great Turf....more wrong exposures...a few okay, and for sometime...sunny hot blue, and later in the evening overcast, an even grey sky and breezy....at Lunch: sat awhile by the Cottonwood at Ozone Beach...sound of the Wind in the Cottonwoods a favorite...Leaves are drying, still Summer, but the Season is changing...Mallard approached...while taking pics, Mallard stretched....very cool...sighted Mama Doe and Fawn across the Merced aways off, and while taking pics, another 'Buck chased by Doe' dust up!...maybe same Buck of a week or so ago...and maybe Buck is one of the Doe's offspring--a yearling...not sure...this Mama Doe and One Fawn aren't the same as the Doe and Fawn at Last Chance, who again were in the Court Corner today.....report of last Tuesday still to post...I think the Little Fawn was born in the Court Corner, and the other Fawn behind the Cabin...would like to know about the Two Top Pine Meadow Two Fawns...maybe time tomorrow morning to check...time to charge batteries now, cameras, and mine!....
