Five Poems
Some Worth
"So, someone of some worth!"
Said Petra, smiling,
Having listened to Ichi's tale
Of the Seahorsemen.
"The humblest of traders."
Said Ichi, eyes lowered.
"Indeed, to be nude before such,
And certain doom..."
Observed Petra.
"Thankyou, Ichi." Petra said.
Befell
"And so, Petra,
What befell you
In the caverns of Pakal's
Black Space Ship?"
Asked the crews
Of the Black Ships,
And the gathered Black Dragons,
Returned from Volcano Never,
The guarded setting of Petra's long sleep.
For a moment Petra looked to Pet,
Her steadfast guardian during her sleep.
"Some horror I recalled on awakening,
But the potion you gave me
Wiped it away as a forgotten dream."
Pet roared and stretched her wings.
"Pakal now has his Long Slender Craft
Found and returned by you."
Said Ismael,
"As you, thought lost,
Returned as well."
This For That
In Nevermore's Harbor,
The assembled watched
Ichi's and Pakal's Long Slender Crafts
Joined together
To make a catameran.
"All this for that?"
Asked Cerulean.
"That," said Pakal,
"For to carry Origen Stones,
Next on the list."
Pakal turned to the assembled,
"Would you come with to find them?"
The crews, the Black Dragons,
The Ravens, Gulls, Parrots,
Dolphins, Whales,
Fell silent as Petra's sleep,
The memories in them
Of Pakals Black Space Ship's Caverns,
A glimmer in their dreams.
Pakal smiled,
"Understood." he said.
Miss Your Boat
"You'll miss your boat."
Said Petra to Ichi.
"Just so." said Ichi.
"We'll come for you,
If things become troublesome."
Said Petra.
"Just so." said Ichi.
And Ichi departed to farewells,
The catermeran returned
Ichi and Pakal
To Pakal's Black Space Ship,
The island once with
A cavern with a river
In Nevermore's bay,
And it rose skyward,
Returning to Blackest Space.
Brew
"Lets all drink and eat,
Celebrate Petra's retun!"
Said Ismael to the assembled.
"Nemo tells me he's synthesized
The Seahorsemen's Brew."
And the crews answered
With the Dragon Roar,
Which always seemed silly to
Black Dragons,
But they roared too.
