Red Sox with lead off double off the Green Monster...there's a feeling that goes with a pose in the Animal Kingdom...body language...and the ancient rock artists were good at conveying feelings, not so good at being realistic drawing artisans...home run...tie game...Angels 3-3...they knew their animals, and what one another looked like when hunting...the cattle above standing around look/feel like cattle standing around...I dunno...what more can be asked of an artistic representation?...if asked to paint on a blank rock cattle standing around, I couldn't, likely no modern artist could, we haven't the direct sense of the scene the ancient rock artists did...they were absolutely sincere and true...note the camel riders!...one camel with forelegs and backlegs together off the ground...the other camel with scissor legs...way on the left is a horse(?) leaping...here again a favorite elephant...

Before the Sahara became a desert, it was home to many savanna animals, including the giraffe. People began to paint and etch the Sahara's animals in desert rock about 12,000 years ago. Archaeologists estimate that the oldest remaining pictures date back to 6500 BCE.

Boston at bat...runner on...Betts up...Mookie the Menace...not so menacing this year, nor his team...struggling like the Angels...and, the Menace waps a home run...Boston 5-3...mucking around looking at ancient enigmas is a melancholy pursuit...they're all gone...but these Sahara cultures are doubly sad...the cultures are gone, and the environment they knew too...now just a vast hot desert of sand...on return from a visit to Death Valley, I had feeling that this is how everything will be some day...Earth become like Mars...don't want to visit again Death Valley!...or even, for that matter, go to Mars!...the way things go over millions of years, I guess, is that the Sahara will be green again, and somewhere else desert...hmmph...I need to browse and gather more 'poses' from rock art, for tomorrowmorrow, and following...Angels at bat...top of sixth...Trout up...bbk for game update...K...Ohtani up...1-2 the count...ground out...to bottom of sixth...bk...Red Sox 16-4...wot!?...
