Dawn Chorus

Missed the opening songs of the Robins and Grosbeaks, but paddled over to the Deer House in time for clips....around six am....thought to make the Outside Loop...but thought more of Breakfast, and paddled back to Last Chance...and afterwards back to the Cabin to snooze until work time....clear at Dawn, slight high haze at noon, and Lunch more so, otherwise sunny blue and warm.....Male Mallard at Lunch...pic...Robins, Junco, Chickadee, Blackbirds, Redwing, Flicker, Song Sparrow, about by the Merced....River higher, but not as high yet as the one evening, the warm day before the storms, last Monday?...cool storm weather lowered the River...report of Bear in the A Meadow near the Road near the Dorm....Dorm was my second Domicile my second week hereabout...and Tree in the Door since!...talkabout with friend from that time at Breakfast...Whiteheaded Woodpecker is making a nice round hole in the Dorm's Wall..."How big will the hole be?"...."Just big enough to fit through, I imagine!"....Frazzle in the Creek, but not a lot....
