OTI:notes:8/1/18

Open To Interpretation

Notes: game on...on the radio...Scioscia can't settle on a lineup...today Fletcher is lead off...that's cool...Calhoun 2nd...iffy...Trout 3rd...this subtracts from Trout's total at bats...not good...Upton fourth...very iffy...Pujols...fewer at bats here too...and the usual cast follows on...wth...Ohtani not in the lineup!...they've won a lot of games with Ohtani in the lineup...even ones where his offense didn't play a part...time was there was something called 'chemistry'...hmmph...Angels in Tampa Bay....Calhoun hits a home run!...Angels 1-0...lands in the rays tank!...Trout up...missed how Fletcher did...well, teams carry big rosters, and need to keep everyone 'in the game' happy...Trout walks...one out...Calhoun leads the AL for offensive stats in July--player of the month candidate...wth...Trout steals second easy...then gets tossed out for only second time this season trying to steal third on the next pitch...but how many times has he gone for third in that 'second time' stat?...Upton flies out...to bottom of 1st...so, I go to Oggies for pizza and comeback with a free Angel game voucher...trying to redeem it online is a work in progress...and not progressing well...can't get past the membership menu...and a wonder why previous menu made me select from all the ticket prices?  ...oh!...my Carah Faye Moroccan Lounge show poster, (it's tiny, 8/10 or so), came in the mail, and she autographed it!...a treasure...need to get it framed...:)...Rays make out...Fletcher is at second...to top of 2nd...Pujols up...what got me going on the electromagnetic spectrum stuff...this post seventysixth in a series...see previous...Pujols K......Calhoun up...two out I think...a few times folks asked me to sign my photos in the Valley...a common thing for photogs to experience thereabout...being shy felt embarrassed, not knowing what to write....Young is in center...Trout is DHing...bottom of third...ground rule double...what got me going on the electromagnetic spectrum stuff is the Pyramid story that keeps showing up in my google 'news recommended for you'....

runner falls down trying to reach home on base hit...goes back to third...bases loaded no one out...thought in the article, is, I think, that just the shape of the pyramids somehow shapes incoming electromagnetic radiation...and a projected thought is that at the tiny tiny scale of things, a pyramidal shape could be used to shape electromagnetic waves' paths...apparently, the whole study was done on a computer simulation...not at the Pyramid...so, I don't know what kind of stone is involved...or if that is important...there's a kind of sense to it...with the chlandi plate patterns, the shape of the vibrating platform lends itself to the designs seen...which are from the interplay of vibrating and non vibrating parts of the plate...plate become like the surface of the ocean, or lake, wind blown, with waves' peaks and valleys...or something...easy to see this 'tapping the bucket'...lol...anyway, I thought about this:...if a pile of stones stacked up like the Pyramid shape the electromagnetic waves, then what do natural shapes, stacked up things in stone and earth, do?...like the monoliths in the Valley?...for sometime...top of 4th?...Pujols with a hit...two on...one out...Tropeano is pitching for the Angels...comes to mind those lenticular clouds gathering over mountains, those Stupa like stacked ones over volcanoes...there's something called gravity wave clouds I wanted to nail down...Simmons with rbi hit...Valbuena up...hit .143 in July...0-2...K...two outs...Young up...

Rays are about a strange experiment, which I saw start back in April...the starting pitcher doesn't come in until like the second or third inning...thought is to knock back the number of times the opposing team batters in the top of the lineup oppose your starting pitcher...more times batters see a pitcher more likely they are to hit them...kind of like bullfighting...wear the pitcher down...used to be very much like that...expectation scoring wouldn't begin until like the fourth or fifth inning...sometimes later...back in the day when starters finished games...now the ball has gotten more bouncy, or something, and runs scored a lot in early innings...Angels make out...Angels 2-0...bottom of 4th...wiki's take on gravity waves I find obscure...

top of 5th...Calhoun walks...Trout up...infield fly out rule pop out reached the roof...stadium has a canvas roof...a kind of homely stadium!...Upton fly out two runners left on...to bottom of 5th...way back away, I picked up on 'optical biophysics'...not my expertize!...a thoughtHobby...these hobbies I carry about, and now and then, over years even!, update them with searches...first time I read about optical biophysics it was new...a walk...runner on for Rays...well, even now the search, 'optical biophysics' is difficult...our eyes are an optical biophysical things...biological because they are part of our living, parts...another E5...bases loaded...physical in that they deal with the physics of light...so, so what's happened, is they are studying tiny tiny organisms' 'eyes'...and they're not sure what they are happening on...but cells look to have on them antennae...even the organelles inside cells...so, there's some kind of wave sensing going on at the tiny tiny level of things...or some kind of sensing...thought I've had is that some cells smell things...went on about this way way back...bees smelling...

For example, squids are able to change the texture of their skin to match their environment and thus camouflage their body. But squids are still able to do this even if they have been blinded. So how do they do this? If they’re not using sight, how do they sense the 3-D shape of their surroundings?
Members of Deheyn’s lab studying bioluminescence in brittle stars have similarly discovered that a brittle star’s photocytes (the cells that make them produce light) have cilia – hair-like structures all along their cell membrane.

Deheyn thinks it’s possible that microtubules – molecular units that control cilia to make them extend, shrink, or bend – form an electromagnetic dipole that is emitting or receiving electromagnetic signals. Essentially, the cells inside brittle stars might be covered in tiny radio antennae.

oh, Upton reached second in close play, and came off bag while tag was still applied...out...Pujols up...thing to note about the wiphala one, is, it is square...one site notes that the only other international flag that's square is the Swiss'...don't know why that is...but the wiphala clearly harks to the square tocapus, and the tunics with tocapu squares...the thinking in making it is really really cool!...and too the colors in the Inca cross...a banner with a hark to the visual spectrum/electromagnetic wave lengths!...the Andeans were crazy for rainbows...Mayans/Mesoamericans too...have it that in the procession of the Inca King, those in front would somehow spread water vapor, from their mouths?, in front of the King, and in the sunlight, rainbows would appear...kind of like what happens with a lawn sprinkler!...but that's kind of an awesome thing...Rose Parade participants might want to try this one!....looking, I think I found it...Angels made out...bottom of 8th...Rays with a 2rbi home run...Rays 7-2...
