Notes: game on...on the radio...Angels and Rangers...pre game show...sit down with Scioscia...Ficus sycomorus...

quote

Ficus sycomorus is native to Africa south of the Sahel and north of the Tropic of Capricorn, also excluding the central-west rainforest areas. It also grows naturally in Lebanon, where Beirut's famous Gemmayzeh Street is derived from the tree's Arabic name, Gemmayz; in the southern Arabian Peninsula; in Cyprus; in very localised areas in Madagascar; and as a naturalised species in Israel, Palestine and Egypt. In its native habitat, the tree is usually found in rich soils along rivers and in mixed woodlands.
... ... ...
According to botanists Daniel Zohary (b. 1926) and Maria Hopf (1914–2008),[citation needed] the ancient Egyptians cultivated this species "almost exclusively."[
... ... ...
It was the ancient Egyptian Tree of Life.

Hudson, Travis, editor
1978    The Wind Sycamore: Some J.P. Harrington Notes on a VentureƱo Chumash Shrine. The Ventura County Historical Society Quarterly 24(1):1‑15
A description of a VentureƱo Chumash shrine at an ancient sycamore tree adopted by the Catholic padres as the location for a chapel.  Harrington describes objects left at the shrine by the Chumash, including baskets of ants.  Other "baskets containing offerings of seeds, nuts and so  forth were placed both inside and outside the tree."  The tree, known as the Wind Sycamore, evidently had a large hollow "near the ground at one end."  Other objects including beads and food were also left there.  It is interesting to note that a wooden image about two and one‑half feet long was hung in the hollow of the tree.  According to Harrington's informants people who wished ill for an enemy would go to the tree and afflict their enemy by turning the various plugs which held the articulated form together, thus affecting the enemy's corresponding part.  He also states that medicine men would cure people ills by means of the god of the Wind Sycamore.  A photograph of the tree depicts the tree as anthropomorphic.

There were several deities that were associated with trees, a rare commodity in Egypt. Horus was associated with the acacia, while Osiris and Re were tied with the willow and the sycamore, respectively. Osiris was sheltered by a willow after he was killed, and for example, the The Book of the Dead describes two "sycamores of turquoise" growing at the point on the eastern horizon where the sun-god rises each morning. Re was also associated with the ished tree. Also, Wepwawet was paired with the Tamarisk, and the symbol of the god Heh was a palm branch, while not surprisingly, we have both Thoth and Seshat, the two deities associated with writing, inscribing the leaves of either the ished (or persea) tree with the Royal Titulary and the number of years in the pharaoh's reign.
... ... ...
However, none of these male deities were associated with trees nearly as much as a number of female deities. The sycamore specifically was regarded as a manifestation of the goddesses Nut, Isis and Hathor, who was even given the title, "Lady of the Sycamore". In fact, this title has been interpreted to relate to a specific and particularly old tree that once stood to the south of the Temple of Ptah at Memphis during the Old Kingdom.

The sculpting of these monuments spread throughout the Maya area during the Classic Period (250–900 AD),[2] and these pairings of sculpted stelae and circular altars are considered a hallmark of Classic Maya civilization.
... ... ...

Stelae were essentially stone banners raised to glorify the king and record his deeds,[11] although the earliest examples depict mythological scenes.[

I cant find any pattern to the Mayan stele...the standing figure ones always have the figures' hands  held over their stomachs in a gesture...its the top of 3rd...Angels up...Calhoun...Young on first...Angels make out...to bottom of 3rd...

These figures act out one of a standard set of rites of passage: they wear battle garb to emphasize their military prowess, ritually let blood in offering to the deities, "scatter" sacred substances with outstretched hands, or participate in ritual dance. Imagine trying to dance while balancing a headdress that is half your own height!

Izapa Stela 5
Bureau of American Ethnology Bulletin 138 Plate 52

This sacral tree connects heaven and earth. Its roots are in the ground panel and its branches reach into the sky panel. Nephi associates the tree with God 1 Nephi 11:25 who explicitly reigns in the heavens above and the earth beneath  Mosiah 4:9.

In pharaonic Egypt and many oriental realms such as India and China, the ruler and divinities (in the form of an idol like lord Krishna) were often transported in a litter in public, frequently in procession, as during state ceremonial or religious festivals.
