Kestrel pics from last weekend (mon. tues.)....slept in, and out late (like 2!)...paddled out to Bobcat Meadow...Yellow Rump Warbler...and the Bird at top that I have to id....went to the Village for mail and egg salad, chips, hershys and orange juice...back to the Meadow, and at the Oak With Branch That Arcs Over Half Dome, a talkabout with a photog from Ireland....from their stories, I gather they'd been around the world a bit....told of Kestrels hovering every morning on those islands in the English Channel....they took note of the Redwing Blackbirds and their call....had late lunch at the Long Fallen Ponderosa...quiet...but when I picked up, Brown Creeper was going up and down the Ponderosas....pic...almost a clip!....Creeper just sat and basked in the Terrific Light....continued around on the Outside Loop...sat awhile at the Broken Cottonwood...Blue Birds came around, but too far for pics....hungry and sleepy...up too late and all out of sorts, I picked up and went back to the Cabin, and Last Chance for dinner....sunny high hazy clouds...pondered some that photogs not only have archives of pics they've taken, but ones they missed...'three Horses on a London street early in the morning with fog and mist, and I forgot the camera'....and at the Post Office a talkabout Horsetail Falls...'I've seen it several times, but I dont take photographs'.....dont know but a keen perception, and well fashioned recollection in relating a scene, may be what photography is about...the camera just training wheels....report yesterday of Hawk, maybe Redtail, circling above the Pond at the A Rooms, gaining height rapidly and going way high up....oh...Frogs croaking at the Lily Pad Pond....impossible to sight them in the Hummocks...tried with the binocs....ah..a rhyme!.....and the Reporters are getting creative....captured critters by Coyote and Bobcat have become 'snacks'...Coyotes 'the dogs'!!....took the Turtleback pic at the Artist's Grove...first one to light and stay still for pic....have seen Turtlebacks for a week or so....and one small orange Butterfly I couldn't id....
