After late Breakfast, cheerios and pineapple, caught the Shuttle over to the Village, actually had to leave the pineapple behind to catch the Shuttle...took the spple juice with...anyway, in the Village, checked mail, and grocery store errands, and caught the Shuttle back to the Cabin to drop things off....time enough for short walk, and paddled out to Bobcat Meadow, and across Chapel Bridge to Cottonwood Beach....stood there a long while, hoping to hearsee what Critters were about....quiet...Northern Flicker, Acorn Woodpecker, Blue Jay, Grey Squirrel across the Merced....picked up, and returning, sighted another Grey Squirrel perched, as Greys do, on a Pine Branch eating an Acorn, I think....pic...and while trying to get angle with Falls in background, sighted Flight of Mallards over Bobcat Meadow...left off, and at Flicker Grove, the same place where the Reflection Mallards were, Six Mallards were doing bottomsups, Two Males, Four Females...pics and clips for sometime...time, and returned to the Cabin, and work...cloudy grey overcast cool, cleared late in the day, and stars out tonight....pics up are Little Birds that were on the Willows at Bitten Marsh at Merced Wildlife Refuge on weekend trip....I'd parked Silver, and sighted Hawk, Young Redshoulder, maybe Hawk I often see thereabout, and while following Hawk Tree to Tree, sighted the Little Birds....first three pics look to be Bushtits, and not sure of Birds in last pic...still going through book....report of Bald Eagles in British Columbia at remote Lake..."I could toss Fish I caught up in the air, and Eagle, watching from the Trees, or circling above, would swoop in and catch Fish"...report was a oneup on my report of Eagles at Tule Lake!...hmmph...faraway Lakes in BC a faraway sometime!!....Bushtit, I think, is new bird for me....(yes, new...in the blogs editing page, I can word search--very useful feature!)
