Wintry Day Hawk

After Breakfast, paddled over to the Village with all the gear.....quiet....picked up mail, and Shuttled back to the Cabin...and paddled out to Ozone Beach on the Path...Snow too deep in the Woods, thereabout requiring snowshoes or skis--maybe tomorrow!..back to the Path and out to Two Top Pine Meadow...quiet...and from the Path, sighted Coyote farfar away just beyond Two Top....faraway pics...followed a Snowshoe Track out to the Broken Cottonwood...Coyote further away, and lost to sight at Beaver Bend....scenic pics, and a novelty Falls pic!.....continued the Outside Loop, across Swinging Bridge, Chapel Bridge, and nearing the Woodpecker Tree, sighted Hawk, Cedar!, fly to and perch on the Tree...very cool....dropped the tripod, and tired to get close behind the Apple Tree, but Cedar took flight, but right past me to perch on an Alder beside the Boardwalk at the Lilypad Pond....pics...another flight to a Pine...pics....Cedar flew across to Flicker Grove...friend came walking up, 'is that your tripod?', and I shared the pics, but lost sight of Cedar....retrieved the tripod, and continued to the Village for late lunch....tuna, chips, crangrape, and Shuttled back to the Cabin, and latelate nap!....sunnyblueblue with clouds moving through--photogs at Tunnel View likely got good pics!....looks like Cedar's Chest Feathers are turning to the adult orange...Blue Jays, Acorn Woodpeckers, Ravens, Kinglets, one Mountain Bluebird call at Swinging Bridge, just a couple Deer tracks--but I didn't go off Path, back to the Creek, or across the Meadows, and the Snow is so wet, tracks are disappearing....tomorrow...
