Ruby Crowned Kinglet

Out and about earlyearly,,,,paddled over to the Hummock Pond....sighted Kingfisher on the way at the Creek Footbridge....Pond frozen...pic up....thought to sit awhile, but heard maybe Blue Jays scolding over by the Merced....went over to looksee..quiet...continued the loop...past the Artists' Grove, stood awhile on the Boardwalk, hands in jacket pockets trying to get both sets of fingers warm....I switch hands carrying the tripod, keeping one in pocket, but that wasn't working, and cold was winning!....Sun was reaching down the Falls and the Walls, and when Sunlight reached the bottom of Upper Falls, a Rainbow showed....pics and clips for sometime....returned to Last Chance for Breakfast when the Sunlight reached Lower Falls Stop...the Hundred Blue Jays were awakening and flying about....after Breakfast, napped until noontime, gathered the gear, and back to the Hummock Ponds...Ruby Crowned Kinglets, Black Capped and Chestnut Chickadees at the Footbridge...the Footbridge is a favorite stop to sight Little Birds...Bridge is a about halfway up the Trees along the Creek, so one can be closer to the Little Birds that prefer the Treetops....when I reached Bobcat Meadow, sighted Fawn at the Pond....pic up...the Little Snag Branch is where I sit....Mallards, Nine today, were thereabout too...pics and clips...Fawn trotted along the Ponds into Flicker Grove...followed, and sighted Mama Doe and Second Fawn...I dont know when Fawns that are Bucks lose there Antler Buds....the Two Fawns born in Two Top Pine Meadow were the Male Fawn Pair I have pics and clips of, I think, and their Doe was the only one with Two Fawns, I think, so I'm wondering if the Deer today are same...anyway, Deer are back in Bobcat Meadow!....pics and clips for sometime....sunnybluebluewarm, cold at sunup...at Lunch: paddled over to Ozone Beach, and along the Merced as far as Cottonwood Bend...quiet...in the morning: Blue Jays, Acorn Woodpeckers, Pine Siskins Flock, Ravens, Kingfisher, and the Little Birds...at noon: Ravens, Little Bird calls, Acorn Woodpeckers, Blue Jays...reports of lots of Hawks along 140...lots of Sparrow Hawks along with Redtails...wondering if Raptors migrate West!!....come to think of it, that's how I got here...Pop grew weary of Chicago winters on the sides of tall buildings painting advertising signs!!
