Blue Jay Fence






Shuttled over to Siberia..thought to sign up for Shuttle to town Monday...but it was scheduled for Sunday...hmmph...anyway, paddled back...Road closed over Stoneman Bridge..tiki pipe work...cut across the A Meadow to Church Bowl...thought maybe to see Bobcat...no luck...no luck ether to see Little Birds in the Meadow Underbrush, though they were thereabout to hear!...in the Village, picked up egg salad sandwich...(shortened Breakfast to catch Shuttle)...and coffee...had just crossed the Road to reach Bobcat Meadow, and heard Ravens calling behind...turned to look, and they were chasing Hawk, Coop...Coop flew into the Suburb Forest...tried to follow, but no luck...thought to sit awhile on the Split Rail Fence in the Oak Grove...maybe Coop would come back...ate the sandwich...Blue Jay for company...time, and back to the Cabin...heard Pileated Woodpecker somewhere over by the Perfect Dogwood...but no time to pursue...skipped whiskers yesterday, cant do that two days in a row!...sunny hazy clouds warm and a little rain after dark, but still warm...report of Four Mallards, two pairs, downstream from Beaver Bend....and Falcons seen from the Shuttle, didn't enquire where, should have!!...oh!...sighted Mama Doe and Two Fawns, and Mama Doe and One Fawn out in Bobcat Meadow, and Antlered Buck by the Clubhouse...and this was yesterday...and three days ago, sad story of the Helicopter crash that took the lives of three Wildlife Management folk and the pilot...they were counting Deer when the helicopter clipped some power lines south of here in the Foothills...
