Azalea








After Breakfast, paddled over to Ozone Beach...quiet...and along the Path....and back to the Creek...Four Grey Squirrels chasing about...sat awhile at the Black Pipes...pics...missed pic of all Four running along a Pipe...sat another while on the Swath Rip Rap....Tanager Pair up in an Alder....pics...sunny blueblue warm, thunder clouds in the afternoon....at Lunch: sat awhile on Ozone Boulder (there's actually two together, one too pointy to sit on!)...Merced has gone down like four feet!....Sandpipers, Ravens, Robins, Phoebe, Grosbeaks, Song Sparrows about....and Buck and Doe by the Path on return to work...pics...oh...and the Azaleas on Azalea Bluff have decided to bloom...and the Bugs have decided to eat them!...need to id the Bugs, and the one Butterfly in pic...not many Butterflies about...of late have seen Buckeye, bright and pale Swallow Tails, Checkerspot, Turtle Back, Morning Cloak (early May)...missing, I'd say, California Sisters and White Checkers...tomorrow a looksee for Bugs and Butterflies!.....which isn't so easy....sitting for a good long while other day out in Bobcat Meadow, I didnt see any!...this evening, Gnats, Flies, and Mosquitoes....

oh!!....Rudloe is the author of the Living Dock at Panacea, which I read a long while ago!, and recalling this book, google searched 'panacea florida' tonight...very cool...
