Paddled about along the Merced from Ozone Beach to Two Top Pine Meadow and out to the Broken Cottonwood....the portion of the Cottonwood that rested on the ground, where I have often rested awhile, has floated away during the High Water!...Mallard Pair was about--Ponds thereabout....sat awhile on the Grasses, which are dusty and muddy still, and snacked on mini donuts and orange juice--Breakfast!...Violet Green Swallows about....there eveyrwhere!...and from the new Log Jam in the Slough, Mama Mallard with Ten Mallardlings appeared...pics...watched awhile as Mallardlings foraged...then Mallardlings grouped up and paddled with Mama Mallard right by and past the Cottonwood...handheld clip with the waterproof, which again showed it's not up to clips!...except when digi scoping, which I just dont understand....picked up and returned to the Cabin and work...sunny blueblue hot...at Lunch: sat awhile on the Round Boulder...Merced a few inches higher than last evening...Doe in the distance by the Woods...looked Bear Alert the whole while...but quiet...Sandpipers, Swallow, Robins, Grosbeaks, Song Sparrows, about...oh...may have heard Pileated out by the Slough...and double oh!...clicking on clip corner can make it full screen....just need higher res clips!
