Smokey Day

Had time for an hour or so to walkabout back at the Creek...quiet...and everything orange!...pic of Half Dome from yesterday...couldn't see Sentinel hardly at all from Creek's End...Checkered White clip...Mallards are paddling past the Swath...and the RipRap...and the fallen Woodpeckers' Pole Tree...sunny with some clouds, not so hot but smokier....hungry firefighters came to Last Chance for dinner...one reported fighting the fire for thirty two hours....and it covers now three thousand acres...I haven't looked up blog reports yet...brb....yes...that seems to be about the size of it..'it got away'....cool to see all the different shoulder patches of the crews....like a gathering of the tribes...and it happens every time this time of year....almost a kinda seasonal thing like dogwoods, snow, and waterfalls...if the roads are open Monday, I'll take the hikers' bus up and looksee!!...the A Rooms are back in business...a smallish fall of boulders, as things go about here!....Raccoon at Last Chance after work...small blurry flash pics...but happy to see Raccoon!....
