Stayed up late last night, and was out and about late this morning...just a banana for Breakfast!...paddled out to Bobcat Meadow....heard Pileated Woodpecker at Lower Falls Delta, but couldn't locate...quiet in the Meadow....on the Boardwalk, just past the Artist's Grove, was cleaning the binoc's lenses, and sighted Hawk fly from an Oak to the Ground...before I could get close, Hawk, Coop!, flew up to one of the Young Elms, and before I could get close, a photog intent on photographing the Elm, walked right under Coop...and Coop took off across the Meadow, and then arced back to Flicker Grove...tried to follow, but no luck...but did get a couple flight pics...string intact...day 10....sunny blue blue then cloudy greygrey...a cloud ceiling right at the Rim....will try to get some sleep and an early out and about!...was veryvery close to a some good pics, as Coop was in the sunlight, and perched low...at lunch, walked out to Ozone Beach...Ouzel singing...and Acorn Woodpecker chattering...
