Glacier HawK

Paddled out to Bobcat Meadow...sat awhile at the Woodpecker Tree....continued to the Post Office, and had lunch at the Village...hot dog and chips and cran grape....went back the way I came, crossed Chapel Bridge...quiet... weather drizzly, and not much chance to see Hawk I thought...but sighted Hawk, Redtail looks to be, maybe Zeke!, flying along the Glacier Wall....2ox was on the tripod, had taken Deer clips earlier at the Crosswalk...oh!...and the Raven Kettle clip by Upper Falls when I stepped outside the Cabin....was able to get the 20x sighted...and got a kinda cool clip of Zeke....continued on the Loop...dropped off gear at the Cabin...and went to have snack at Last Chance....checked the Favorite Trees...I do this routinely now!...but quiet...still some light left, but Bones was on TV and watched three episodes!...clouds moving through half way down the Walls, light sprinkles, and cool...reports of Robin, and Hawk, Cedar I conjecture, catching a Grey Squirrel across the Road from the Cabin yesterday...and five Grey Squirrels and three or more Chickarees about the Cabin...this from conversation with neighbor!...during which I saw Song Sparrow, Blue Jay, and Chickaree all together in the Shrub at the Cabin's corner...need to step it up a bit and learn the names of the Shrubs and smaller Flora!!

The Speed Kills Bears Signs have been taken down on either side of the Creek Bridge....here's a report giving an account of the Bears' travails last year....

Blog of the Day: (some late nites, I put a critter name in the google image search...good way to find other fauna flora blogs...this one is exceptional!)

I dont often, well, not at all really, go into the gear I use, but the author of this blog describes his at this page, and it is nearly identical, minus the digi, with what I use, oh, he has better lenses judging from the photos!, but in essence the same, and not just the same gear, but acquired in much the same way, and the pursuit of journal and blog too!...remarkable?...I think, remarkable, but a common occurance, it's like the confluence of digital cameras, computers, and web, have sprung up a crop of fauna flora bloggers, their origins as mysterious as mushrooms, and as diverse! link:

and as I write, a new new camera, Canon's newest Rebel, 7d features at half the price, is soon to be marketed...see amazon...
