Hawk On Oak And Cedar Branch

Paddled over to the Post Office through Bobcat Meadow....was on the Boardwalk just past the Artist's Grove and sighted Hawk, Coop...pics and clip...and tried to set up the digi, but Coop flew off...sighted Coop again way over in the Oak Grove across the Road...tried to cross the Road, but all the Does and Fawns and onlooking tourists were there with two tourists looking up at Coop in an Oak!...took some Deer clips my own self, then glimpsed Coop fly back low to the Oaks on my side of the Road....tried to locate, but no luck...picked up mail, and had lunch in the Village...hot dog and orange juice and reese mini chocolates...paddled back to Bobcat Meadow, and sighted Coop flying low over the Merced to a perch in a Cedar near Sentinel Bridge...pics...and tired to set up the digi again...but Coop flew off, again!....I've been so anxious to get close ups of Coop, and it is just heartbreaking to look up from setting things, and see Coop has flown off somewhere!....continued across Chapel Bridge and made the Outside Loop..it is so quiet that it makes one wonder why it so quiet!!...anyway...did see Ouzel near Ozone Beach...and Grey Squirrel at both the beginning and ending of the walk in the Backyard....Ravens of course are ever present, but just a few Blue Jays, Kinglet calls, one Flicker call, and one DownyOrHairy Woodpecker call...hazy sky with just a dim sunglow, warm...did see shadows for a little bit...paddled back to the Creek after Last Chance snack...stood awhile looking at the fallen Oaks across the Creek...workmen were elseware today....report from Bakersfield of Robins about after long absence...and Cedar Waxwing..and maybe some Bandtail Pigeons...

heard on twitter of the glee of some in the valley seeing next to no one and enjoying having it all to themselves. maybe that is some of the quiet although i am sure you are referring to the wildlife residents.
