Creek Bear

Shuttled over to the Village, skipped Breakfast--needed to pick up some replacement work shirts...down to just one...anyway, sat awhile by the Post Office...Two Antlered Bucks, One Two Point Buck, and one very young Buck, about, eating acorns....and lots of tourists surrounding Deer, taking pics, and really getting too close with their children.... Antlered Bucks thereabout reported jousting the other day...Shuttled back, dropped the shirts off at the Cabin, picked up orange juice, and mini donuts, and paddled back to the Creek, and found a seat on the Log by Duck Harbor....Little Birds about, mostly Yellow Rump Warblers...pics...was eating the second donut, and sighted Bear crossing the Creek on top of the Twin Fallen Cedars... went all thumbs, managed pics of Bear at end of crossing....oh, I wish I'd been quicker!....with imagination, I can make a painting!...Bear ambled out to the Deer House Oaks, and to Bobcat Meadow, and lost to view in Flicker Grove...clip...followed, then went back to retrieve the donuts, and then out to the Road around about where I thought Bear might be...Mama Doe and One Fawn were scenting Bear.. back at the Deer House, another Mama Doe and one Fawn and Antlered Buck did same...pics....time...on the way to work, sighted Coyote ahead...trotted after, but Coyote went behind the Rooms--this near where the Tour Buses park...I circled around the Rooms, trying to get ahead of Coyote...when back at the Path, Mama Doe came leaping out of the Undergrowth, which is very thick thereabout...Doe was scenting Coyote...earlier, I'd seen Mama Doe and One Fawn browsing thereabout, the third of four sets of Does and Fawns I saw today...I'd seen Mama Doe and Two Fawns cross the Road near Camp Four when on the Shuttle....Coyote back tracked, and trotted down the middle of the Road towards Lower Falls...pics...minute late at work...cloudy overcast hazy cool....at Lunch: Mama Doe and Two Fawns at the Diversion Channel....sat awhile at the Fallen Cedar...Acorns, Robins, Raven, Song Sparrows about...and Mama Doe came over and nibbled Leaves from the Willow right behind me...pics.....oh...pic of Yellow Rump on the Fallen Cedar...
