Owl and Hawk

After Breakfast, Shuttled over to the Village...checked mail, and on return hopped off at Lower Falls....paddled out to Creek's End, and sat awhile at Owl Log...Little Birds about the Alder, Mixed Flock...pics for sometime...time, and to the Cabin and work...sunny and cloudy and humid and light sprinkles...at Lunch: Deer from yesterday were again at Ozone Beach, and this time all together, see clip...on way to the Fallen Cedar, heard Blue Jays scolding in the Woods...followed, and when I got close, saw two Big Wings fly low over towards the Cattails...followed, all the while trying to figure how to set the newer camera...located Owl, and heard the Blue Jays, and a new sound..thought it was Squirrel, and tired to take clip of the location where the sound was coming from...and while taking the clip, Hawk flew up higher in the Oak, then across the Grasses to a perch in another Oak, and then again, and gone flying off towards the Merced...managed to get pic of Hawk...camera set to iso 3200... and in reviewing the clip tonight, see that Hawk is on the clip--just above the Hollow in the Oak, for a brief moment in the middle of the clip...when Hawk flew to the second perch, Hawk called, and it was Hawk's voice I was hearing...Owl and Hawk were having a dustup!...if I had had the binocs with, I would have located Hawk, and if a tripod, a steady clip!...but a bit much to carry to work and out on the lunch walk...and have to study out the mechanical noise on the clips--think it might be the stabilization motor...anyway, very cool to see Owl again back in Owl Woods...and Hawk is a new sighting...pretty sure Hawk is Northern Goshawk...oh!...but in checking at the Cornell site, Cooper's Hawk's call is the one I heard!...one can tell by the dilation of Owl's Eyes the low light I was trying to take pics in!
