Walked over to the Post Office..picked up a raffle prize I won at the Gallery!....a Winter Valley View...that took me back to the Cabin to hang it up...checked to see if the dslr is in the mail...and the lens...seems the well traveled 'road'!!....we'll see....in the evening took the Dirt Road....saw the miniature Buck...dont know if it's a young one...or just tiny!...the antlers I mean mostly...Deer are shedding fur...likely getting ready for Winter...headed out the Path through Owl Oaks...on the way to the Merced bank where I was last evening...this time with the Digiscope....set it up focused on the Arch Branch...just a limb in the water where Ouzel and the Fly Catchers like to perch...waited....two fellows were further up the bank looking at something...lost track...as the Merganser Two were approaching from Half Stump!....I could see them way out there with the Scope...and got some blurry clips as they got nearer...once they got close I switched to the 12x...and then just the 3x!...but it doesn't work too good in the low light when zoomed out...that's disappointing...then back to the 12x as the Two paddled towards Chapel Bridge....nice they showed up!...otherwise it was quiet...Clouds today....Rain tomorrow??....took clips of the Swallows and Bats...dont show up too good in the mpeg...show up real well in the binocs!!...report of traffic jams on Tioga Road...road work...road work hereabouts too...and noisy...but the extra day off tomorrow I'll stay put here in the Valley...getting to be a homebody!!....sunny and warm...kinda Floridish...humid warm...
