Smokey Day Owl

Was very sleepy after Breakfast, but on the way back to the Cabin with a full cup of coffee, I thought to divert to the Creek just to looksee...as it seemed likely I'd sleep until worktime!...Little Birds were about at Duck Harbor....tried for pics, no luck, but thought they might be at Owl Log...they seem to like Alders...or Trees with little leaves...and there's one behind Owl Log...thereabout, there were Little Birds...tried..but no luck...oh wait!...first when I got back to Creek's End, I heard Blue Jays scolding up the Diversion Channel...walked up in my sandals, which collect the gravel!, and sighted Owl in the Young Pine...pics and clip...there was another Blue Jay ruckus further up and went to check...no luck, but used the distance from Owl to work around...Owl moved up into the Cottonwood and was posing beautifully....all I had was the 20x....pics and clips...left off with Owl sleeping..and Then I went to Owl Log for the Little Birds!....did get the Hummingbird clip....and while looking into the Alders, the Seven Mergansers paddled by in the Merced behind me...caught a glimpse when I turned around...picked up and followed in a hurry...and went far ahead to the end of Half Stump Island....waded out to a dry part of the gravel in the River...and waited...these clips for sometime..maybe tomorrow!....after they sailed by, I went back to Creek's End...saw Five Mallards on the way...clip...and One Doe by the Three Cedars...clip....and to the Cabin and sleep!...happy for the coffee walk...during which I didn't have much time to drink!...sunny smokey orange hazy...t shirt cool in morning...but hot later...clear mostly tonight...little bit of haze around big full Moon ...talkabout at lunch with M....usual ramble...'corridor of opposites'!...have to study that out...and at break, talkabout with Tom and Theresa...swapping critter stories!...much fun...article in Chronicle about stock photos from the web...an up and coming enterprise for many up and coming photogs!...brb....
