Doe And Fawn

Thought to make the Big Loop counterclockwise, and with time, started out the Bike Path...clip of Chickaree on neighbor's cabin roof...for the Chickaree collection...Kingfisher at Ozone Beach...almost in time...Kingfisher is proving to be most difficult!...Blue Jays scolding in two tall Ponderosas at Swinging Bridge....I thought maybe Hawk, but Blue Jays fell silent, and I couldn't see if Hawk was about...went out to the Rock Wall and found a fallen log to sit on in the Cottonwoods....took two layers, gloves, and knit hat off...bit overdressed!...and set up the digi on the tripod...wanted to walk back along the Tree Line and hopefully find Hawk....back at the Bridge, Blue Jays were noisy again, and I looked up the Trees again, and from the corner of my eye, sighted Hawk flying to perch in the Cottonwoods just a bit further along from where I just was!....walked out into the Meadow and set up the digi...took a quick clip and pics with the 20x...and started the digi...and then tried to get nearer Hawk with the new camera...didn't get very close, and post holed by the Broken Cottonwood...which didn't disturb Hawk, as I sorta disappeared into the grasses!....anyway, the digi by itself did get a clip of Hawk flying off...Hawk flew to the other side of the Meadow, low through the Scorched Forest, to a perch way over there....which has been the story with Hawk of late--'way over there'!...picked up, and with a half hour of time, made the remainder of the Loop...quiet....Doe and Fawn crossing under Chapel Bridge...pics up...20x was out of memory...through it all, I left the record button on....feet and grass and dizzy sky for ten minutes!....have got a collection of these too!....tried for clip with the waterproof when Mama Doe and One Fawn crossed the Merced from Cotonwood Beach to the Deer House...really a neat scene...I dont understand why the 3xs take poor video by themselves, but through the scope do just fine!...made it back to the Cabin, and work, on time...sunny warm blue with a few hazy clouds...
