Snowy Day Coyote

Waited awhile....napped awhile actually...in the morning....as the Snow was falling heavy enough to make taking out a camera for a pic problematic, except for the waterproof....geared up around two thirty, and on turning the corner of the Cabin, set up the tripod to take a pic of the Bus snow covered....and Coyote appeared trotting across the Backyard...clip...using the first 12x and the teleconvertor...best 12x for wet weather...maybe the best 12x...the S3...anyway....reviewing the clip tonight, I see Coyote's back leg, or legs, are injured...looks like fight bites....I'd planned to go back to the Creek....maybe find Owl in a Snowy Tree....but Coyote had left a track on the way out the Road and Parking Lots to Lower Falls...so I went thataway...had to move sorta quick, as the track was being filled in by the falling Snow...or erased by cars and the snow plow!...Coyote made a kinda semi loop around Last Chance...and out to the Scorched Forest...followed the track up to a pile of Fallen Logs...and I think I saw a furry critter hidden under them move...but I went around to the other side, and Coyote's Track continued over to the Road by Camp 4....but that log pile is of interest... Coyote cut back across the Road to Two Top Pine Meadow....Sentinel pic up... and the track met another track...two Coyotes, which I glimpsed briefly at Meadow's edge...tried to keep up....back across the Road...one Coyote actually made a kinda loop the loop under the Road through a flood control pipe...Coyote's secret passageways!....the tracks took me past Beaver Bend...pic up...and a ways out the Path to El Cap beside the Merced...it was getting late...I was getting tired...and returned to Camp 4....empty now except for a couple tents....Oh!...young Buck clip where the Path crosses the Road by Rocky Point...tried to get clear sight, but didn't want to startle Buck out into the Road....from Camp 4, paddled along the Rocky Slope Path...couple hiker foot steps going up the Falls Trail....heard Flicker high atop a Ponderosa...veryvery quiet otherwise...and no tracks...thought to go to the Post Office, and got as far as Lower Falls Stop, and saw the clouds starting to clear over Half Dome...crossed over to Bobcat Meadow, but clouds came back....Meadow quiet...and no tracks...by the time I reached Sentinel Shuttle Stop, I was tuckered out, and took the long way to the Post Office, on the Shuttle!...first Snow, I always like to hop on the Shuttle and just window gaze....scanned the Snow along the Road for tracks this time, but saw only a few which were likely Deer tracks...a very quiet rideabout....hopped off at the Village...picked up mail...and hopped back on...too dark for an Owl Prowl by the time I reached the Cabin....a snowy day, cool, cold during the night when the snow fell as dry powder...by afternoon, the flakes were pretty wet....there's enough Snow on the ground for a skiabout tomorrow...have to locate the ski wax....scenic today beyond words and pics!!

Wonderful, your sharing, as always!
Hope your "tuckered-outness" is fully rested and you found your wax and "ski-happily-about" tomorrow.
