Raven's Portfolio
After Breakfast, geared up, and started to paddle out the Bike Path to Two Top Pine Meadow, but Path crowded, so diverted over to Lower Falls and out Rocky Slope Trail....looked for Tracks...took pic of Track I dont know..like small Coyote or Bobcat...post up for sometime...this past Camp 4...heard Hawk thereabout over in the Meadow, and crossed the Road....Hawk was calling somewhere over by Beaver Bend....and I made a long Meadow crossing in the Snow...and Hawk flew off to somewhere...Beaver Bend had been in my thoughts for a destination, and I checked the Cottonwoods...no new ones Beaver chewed on....SnowWalked back towards Swinging Bridge along the Merced...two Ouzels..pic and clip...Rainbow on Upper Falls...pic and clip...quiet on the way to across the Bridge and along the Road to Chapel Bridge ....quiet in Bobcat Meadow...oh!...one Acorn Woodpecker at the Woodpecker Tree...pic....and to the Village...where I was waylaid by guided photogs and introduced by the guide as the local 'wildlife photog'...good fun to talkabout the critters!...anyway...to the Post Office, and Xmas lookseeing in the shops...picked up lunch...tuna, hershys, crangrape...and went out to A Meadow and sat on the Benches across the Road from Church Bowl...Two Ravens took an interest in the Potato Chips, and charmed me out of one....picked up, and paddled all the way to the Deer House for a looksee at the Creek...and heard Hawk somewhere across the River....crossed over Chapel Bridge and along the Road, but Hawk quiet....Clouds were doing a show beyond the Three Brothers, and found a seat on the Boardwalk Edge just to watch...pic up...and heard Hawk again far in the distance...tried for pic...but no luck...broke the three day string of Hawks pics!....picked up and crossed Swinging Bridge, and took the same route to Creek's End I did last evening...reached the Creek in very last light...and quiet...hazy and broken cloud sunny, cool....SunsetSky made me think of the colors of the Falls Wall granite....oh!...no work time today...on vacation for one week!

When the Bears were feeding on the Deer Carcass, the Ravens would get as close as they could, wait patiently, and sometime, as described above, hop closer sideways, which they likely do to be able to fly away quick if Bear swipes a paw their way! I didn't post that clip, too grim!
