Pine Top Hawk

Young Buck in clip is from yesterday....paddled back to the Creek around two...maybe half a dozen Deer tracks in the Backyard....one Coyote track....at the Cement Block Clearing, heard a ruckus in the Pines....Little Birds and Blue Jays both...sighted with the binocs, but couldn't see...then overhead, Hawk was soaring...tried for pics with the new camera, but too slow...luckily, Hawk perched on top of a Tall Ponderosa...took some more farfaraway Hawk pics....wanted a flight pic, but had the digi with, and Hawk looked to be staying put...so took the pack off and went to setting up everything....dropped the waterproof in the snow...cold hands...everything kinda tough to handle...kept looking up at Hawk...but finally with everything together, was able to get digi clips and pics...final one, Hawk flew off....while gathering up the gear, saw Hawk fly over again...and again no luck with a flight pic...looks to be Red Tail Hawk...continued out to Creek's End...Pond is frozen over...and out the Diversion Channel...at the Merced, heard, and then saw, Kingfisher briefly...thought to set up and wait...Kingfisher returned and perched in a Cottonwood...long away pic....too blurry to post...cold, but sunny thereabout, and stayed put!...and saw Ouzel...took a lot of clips of Ouzel with the digi...ones up just part, the rest for sometime....took some scenics....and then, in the fading light, went back along the Merced...sighted another Ouzel...clips with the 20x....and back to Creek's End....more scenics and clip of Mallards....two pairs...crossed the Creek on the Stepping Stones, and out to Bobcat Meadow...one pic of Half Dome.....continued all the way to the Village...needed laundry soap...and Shuttled back...nearing the Cabin, think I saw Raccoon, but way dark....sunny cold blue...report of Blue Heron at the Merced in the morning...and reporter has recent pic of Hawk with Squirrel...which I'd like to see!......while Hawk was on the Pine Top, the ruckus continued with the Little Birds making a continuous kinda rumble...have to put that up, it's on one of the Hawk clips...think I may have missed a second critter over there...maybe Owl, or another Hawk...looked for Bobcat track...
