I was about to sit on a log and wait for a Blue Jay pic...the sun was behind and the Falls out front...so there would be good light and a neat background...and just as I started to sit down Heron flew up and glided over to the other bank of the Merced...this right by the end of Chapel Bridge...I got a clip and pic...but too far away...and branches in the way...I tried to follow when Heron flew off up the Merced but couldn't catch up...some clouds coming in...maybe a snow fall tomorrow.
