Deer Crossing Creek

Paddled back to the Dogwoods in the Backyard after Breakfast....Robins, Flickers about, now and then...and a couple glimpses of a New Bird, but no pic...did get some pics and clips, though most through Leaves and Branches, of Flicker..... and Robin clips okay...will try to add to clips and pics tomorrow!...Leaves are the perfect colors....picked up when I heard Pileated Woodpecker aways over by the Rooms...followed call, and found Pileated on a Shaded Dogwood with Leaves that haven't turned much...pics and clips...again, Pileated hidden...will try again tomorrow!....rolled over to the Village on errand...book came in mail...card filling up...downloaded pics and clips, and recharged battery while at lunch...after lunch--day has shortened!--paddled back to the Creek...Mama Doe and Two Fawns on the opposite bank...clips...Limping Fawn looks to be getting better--hopped over the Fallen Oak just past Duck Harbor...Deer looked to be wanting to cross the Creek, and I thought the only place would be Creek's End...paddled ahead and set up--composition, focus, exposure, level--and was ready just in time....Doe and Fawns walked down the Bank just beyond the Two Leaning Cedars...and I got a knockdown clip...youtube hd clip is here......I'm finding with the newer camera, when doing a clip, to prefocus and frame with the camera off, then turn it on, and start a clip....when I zoom out, or back, I sometimes have to focus again...Woods quiet...Half Dome pic...sunny puff clouds blueblue, and cool to cold, snow on the rims...Indian Summer is over...

About clips:
If I upload hd clips to the blog, it will open very slow, so I've thought to upload the mp3 or 4 clips hereabout as usual, and upload the hd clip to youtube, with link, so look for:

and I'll see how this goes...
